Actually Edwards has always played well on Monday night. The spotlight is not a problem for a narcissist like that. Notice he dropped the easy one (which ws saved by a BS interference call)and caught the hard ones. No different than when he was in Cleveland so far.

K2 was rarely healthy or not spouting off. He was traded to the TB Bucs, quite possibly a team in worse shape than the Browns right now. We got a bunch of picks for him IIRC. Most Browns fans were quite happy with that trade.

And he had two 1,000 yd rushers in Mack and Byner, and a HoF TE. The team was a lot better all around.

Football 101- You need to be able to run the rock. If there's one thing yesterday's game showed, it's that QB is not the Browns' biggest issue. It didn't look like they had a whole lot of different plays to run anyway. I'd stick with Quinn until at least the Bye week.

This is why it was good pick-up for the Twins. They could still make a run for it, considering 88 wins will likely take the AL Central.

One trade I'm not unhappy about at all. Like DeRosa, Pavano was a hired gun to help the Indians fill out thier rotation and maybe compete. Even though the compete part didn't happen, he actaully performed better than the rest of the team, so getting something for him is a good deal . Helps both teams, espceailly if the Twins take the division, or at least stay competetive down the sretch and draw more fans. .

Expect most (if not all ) teams to try and shed salary this off-season. Too many FAs in 2010, not enough $$$ to go around- even the Cavs needed to get some chinese money to compete, and they sell every ticket!

Too many NBA teams not making money. LBJ better sign an extension soon if he knows what's good for him financially.

Th Cavs are losing some big $$ contracts- Wallace, Szerbiak.. They can bring some talent to improve upon a team that is already one of the NBA's Elite. The Chinese marketing angle helps, but important- in the past few years, LBJ has become much more family-oriented in his personal goals. Thus, the flash of the Bg apple is not as important as it once was. (He hasn't mentioned the 'billion dollar athlete' thing in years)
