Posted Tuesday June 26, 2007, About: Lakers in trade talks to get Garnett
I agree! Who cares?! Kobe should just embrace the dark side of the force like Annakin Skywalker did - he's got amazing talent but never comes off like a good guy simply because he isn't. Some fans may like him, but his teammates certainly don't.

The best thing in Socal sports is going on in Anaheim with the Ducks and the Angels.
Posted Wednesday June 13, 2007, About: Emery could leave Senators
The bottom line is that Ottawa may very well pay the price for overpaying Martin Gerber... they're pretty much stuck with him... As far as Emery is concerned, he's young and showed he can play. The Senators never really had a chance against a Anaheim team that was head and shoulders better than them.
Posted Friday June 08, 2007, About: Giguere to stay with Ducks?
The money will be tight but Anaheim could probably afford to keep Giguere... but I doubt Burke will for the 4-5 years that Giguere will demand. Netminders can lose it real quick, and Giguere will never get a better offer than he will this year. The term of the contract is going to be the stumbling block. As far as Giguere for the Conn?! Yes, he was brilliant at times... but he also plays with the best 1-2-3 defensive punch in all of hockey (Niedermayer, Pronger, and Beachemin), as well as the best checking (shut-down) line in the game (Pahlsson, Moen, and Niedermayer). He stole games, but so did Niedermayer... who was easily the best player on the ice in Game #4 vs. the Senators. Pahlsson was by far the most consistent player for the Ducks in the playoffs, and probably the most deserving. The Ducks impressive march was such a team effort, giving it to the teams captain seems pretty fitting to me.

He's a better fit than Penner on that line anyway...

One Billion Rubles?!

JG, it's ONE BILLION dollars.

Posted Sunday May 20, 2007, About: Pronger vents on officiating
I'm a Anaheim fan, but I agree it was a bad hit (deserving of a suspension) ... however Holmstrom only got hurt because Rob Niedermayer was there. Take Niedermayer out of the picture and the hit (a high one indeed), is no different than the hit Holmstrom layed on Sean O'Donnell in game #4 - and I bet nobody heard or said anything about that one...

It's playoff hockey... Prongers hit on Holmstrom was no worse than Alfie on Tallinder.

It's easy to point fingers at Marleau and Nabby. but I believe it starts at the top. Ron Wilson is a fine coach but a change is in order. Last year the team was coming off a WCF appearance and was terrible out of the gate, only the arrival of Thornton saved their season... so who's fault was that?!

Ron Wilson needs to go.
Posted Saturday May 19, 2007, About: Did coach wimp out on Wild?
Hard to say he "WIMPED OUT" when he dressed Boogard for all but one of the playoff games... Anaheim is/was a much better team than the Wild, hard to blame anyone for a Minnesota team that pretty much over achieved.
Posted Saturday May 19, 2007, About: Flyers won't give enforcer raise
Boogard is the one that laid initial waste to Fedoruk's face when he was with the Ducks. That one big right pretty much ended his days as an enforcer which is a shame... he actually brings a little game...
Posted Saturday May 19, 2007, About: Wings passed on Gerber, Belfour
The way the Red Wing's play team defense, I'm certain that almost anyone would succeed in net for them...
Posted Friday May 18, 2007, About: Rangers, Oilers consider goalie swap?
The Oilers have picks to spare in what looks to be a weak draft. Roloson isn't the long term answer in Edmonton (he's what? 36?). Moving a pick for a promising young netminder is not out of the question at all.
Posted Friday May 18, 2007, About: Red Wings coach seeks scoring help
Babcock is splitting up Datsyuk and Zetterberg in Anaheim to get a better on-ice matchup. Together on the road, they will see a healthy dose of Pahlsson, Niedermeyer (R), and Moen - perhaps the best defensive "shutdown" line in all of hockey (just ask the sedin twins or Gaborik and Dimetria). Watch for the Red Wing's to re-pair the two Euro's on Sunday when they get the last change...
