Fungushnitzel, it is clear you know NOTHING about baseball....DYE is having a sub par year, but given the baseball market.....he would have MADE MUCH MORE this offseason had he hit free agency based on his numbers the previous year when he was healthy.....Buehrle has been one of the most consisten pitchers in the AL for the past five years....maybe he would not have gotten Zito money...but he would have gotten around double what the sox offered him in salary....plus konerko walked away from more money from both the red sox and angels for the white sox....it seems like the media hates ozzie, but most of the players enjoy playing for him....also, he DID win a world series....not the easiest thing to do

You do not have to like the guy, but the man could play. A superbowl ring where he had 100+ catches that year. He was dissapointing for the jets because he won the ring after he left...but a great player...got 70+ catches with ease no matter who was throwing the ball....amazing hands

No one will take Giambi and his massive contract. He is a mediocre all around player who is being paid superstar money...he is also a PR nightmare because he can't keep his mouth shut...the Yanks are trying to void his contract because he is stinking it up, not because of the steroids problem...if he was hitting the ball well...talks of voiding his contract would be nonexistent. The angels are going to save there money and go after a big bat (prob AROD) this summer.

Jeter has never led the league in a single offensive category...ever....underrated? OVERRATED...great player...but the fact he was even second in the MVP voting makes no sense...he had a great batting average,...maybe because he had GREAT protection and pitchers had to throw a lot stuff that was hittable because they didnt want to deal with AROD, SHEFF, ABREU, and GIAMBI(who was solid last year)....overrated....he is a gamer yes...but MVP? I dont think so.

either cashman has lost his mind or was never competent in the first place...it seems like since he has had "more control", the yanks have been sinking...get rid of him...he treats his job like he is in some fantasy league or something. wknd warrior...why dont you check the stats on these guys when they were winning the world series in the 90's...past there prime...maybe a couple of them were but these guys were still very very good.
