do you really want him to stay for only one year? that defeats the theory of "building a team." Teams such as Duke and UNC look for players that WILL stay so they can create a solid team for numerous years.

i also wonder where furyk has gone. just last year he wasn't necessarily winning, but getting top 10's consistently. now he has completely disappeared.

jonisagolffan, sorry but tiger does not play that slow. watch the tour, and you will see that he really doesn't take much time (unless perhaps on the back nine at a major, but who wouldn't). There are alot of other players that take longer. On the tour, you are to take no longer than five minutes on one particular shot.

hansbrough wants a championship. he's staying. he knows that he will be ok but not great in the NBA, and this is a guy who loves college basketball, UNC, and roy williams. Also, tyler is not in a situation where financially it would benefit him to jump to the pros. he's not going to leave.

really? get over himself? i could not disagree more (sorry for the double negative but i deemed it prudent) he's one of the best coaches in the country and doesn't mouth off the the ncaa very often. When he does its usually genuine.

so true golffan well said - as for bballer23- wouldn't being on a mediocre team instead of a very good team help your stats?? I seem to think it would, as Hansbrough has to share the ball with very high caliber players, instead of Beasley doing it all himself. Hansbrough is able to put up the very impressive numbers he gets SHARING the basketball.

i agree his stats are incredible, but to silverblack's point i do think that POY award should go to a consistently good performer on a top 10 - 5 team.

jj730 - when you say "we dominated the whole game" that is incorrect in numerous ways. First of all you are NOT part of the team so don't say "we". Secondly if you watched the game you would know that Duke didnt dominate, and the only reason the score was that big of a difference was b/c of UNC fouling at the end.

personally i think he is worth the money. Anyone remember when the Nets were contenders in the East? This is when J Kidd was around a stellar supporting cast, and I think he is put in that position again he will lead his team to great things.
