I think it was Toews who got robbed. Not even a finalist?

I thought I was going to be left to hang by myself in the court of public opinion, glad to see I'll have company.......

Leaving this strictly to his broadcasting, I agree. I think it's mostly style points with him, he is a blowhard and people object to that. At the same time he scores points with his content. Calling the Boston / Pens series, he pointed out that Pit's approach with all their blind passes leading to defensive zone turnovers was more appropriate of an All-Star game rather than a play-off series. You might say that's obvious but at the same time, neither Jones nor anyone one else said it. As for Jagr, he's 41, he was gassed and Milbury called him on it, as well as for Julien to take him out and put someone younger in. Would anybody disagree with him that hockey is now a speed game? I didn't even mind him going after Ovie earlier in the season. Again over the top with his bluster but he also had a legitimate point or two or three to make. And nothing that plenty of people on here haven't said as well........
It's interesting that Roenick says pretty much a lot of the same stuff, only slightly more toned down and people don't bat an eye................Well mostly don't bat an eye...........

Semin really had little to do with Ovie's lack of accomplishment. And if you paid attention, the other Alex actually did quite well ( he averaged a point per game, mostly assists ) for himself in Carolina this past year, lining up with Staal, who enjoys playing alongside him. Carolina fans seemed to have no problem adjusting to his presence either. The Canes were doing quite nicely until Ward went down and out.

No one is ever solely responsible for game losses but you could be describing Crosby in Games 1 and 2 with his undisciplined play. And he still gets a free pass. Two years in a row now your captain got rattled in a physical series and the team crumbled behind him. Yet the first to get blamed is Malkin.

DWI, when the Pens won the Cup they had mostly Malkin to thank. He went through the Eastern Conference, especially Carolina, like a hot knife through warm butter, pardon the cliche, and was the hands down winner of the Smythe. And I wouldn't call his performance over the course of a year a "flash". He had 50 (?) goals and even more assists? Where's the love?
