Posted Saturday October 10, 2009, About: Russian players to pressure NHL for 2016 Olympics
I agree with A.O and the other Russians, and that's because it was never amatuers! Canada and the U.S.A had all there best players playing in the N.H.L or a farm team that was considered pro until they let the N.H.L's players play and it is only right. Canada and the U.S.A are 2 of the biggest producers of talent and they will be all tied up playing in the pros as they are that good. Russia would get to experience a 50 year drought in gold medals if the players they had on their olympic teams in the past were considered pros (as they truly were) and were left with the drippings of talent left behind. Yes I love the WJC and watch it every year, and yes they are amateurs but the following year most are pros so the only WJC that would showcase any talent for the Olympics wqould be the WJC on the same year as the Olympics are held! LET EM PLAY!!!!!
Posted Saturday November 29, 2008, About: Stars consider benching Turco
True True!!! I can't stand Avery and I am surprised that his playing(if ya can call it that) style hasn't been taken appart by the fans, as I am sure that they are more interested in winning than in who Avery can tick off the most. Now that Morrow is out the offense isn't going to be as strong so hopefully for Marty's sake Dallas will start playing just a little more like New Jersey with Brodeur in the net. Defensively!!!!!
Posted Saturday November 29, 2008, About: Crosby won't pull a LeBron
Your right bout the comment but he took less money to stay in Pit and it payed off with a Stanley Cup final! so why would he even want to imagine himself on any other team as no amount of money could replace the chance for a Stanley Cup which he got. This guy plays for the love of the game not just money and that's one of the reasons why I have liked him from the start. I wish we had more players that played for the game and not just for money espeacially these veterans that have can't make up their minds syndrome till the season is almost over and then pop in for another quick shot at glory without the work! It has become a bit of a trend and it's sad.
Posted Thursday November 27, 2008, About: DiPietro hates injury-prone rep
There is an obvious reason his rep is the way it is so, it is better for him to come back healthy. How brittle is he though? One thing I do like is seeing back-ups and minor league goalies get good shots at playing time and chances t prove themselves EX: Boucher,Sanford,Ersberg,Conklin,MacDonald,Mason are proving to be N.H.L caliber goalies. I do wish the best to DiPietro and his healthy return as he is a good goalie but after watching some of these guys play it makes his contract (and what it started) look like a silly thing for any team except A,O's Caps to do even to secure a franchise player. One last thing and that is A,O isn't going to go thru his whole career like a freight train without consequence and GM's better keep that i mind as well when signing over the big bucks long term!
Posted Wednesday November 26, 2008, About: Roy's other son suspended for brawl
I really don't think ya need to be a genius to see that Roy has raised his kids to be full of themselves just like their Dad! The man made a gesture to his son to go up the ice and fight with the other goalie(I'm talking bout the older brother the goalie with nooooo talent) and the other guy didn't wan any part of it and thats probably exactly what his wife felt when he was beatin her too! Please tell me that you can remember Roy gettin charged as it should've been in the Denver post! I bet that kid probably said something to Roy like you dad didn't deserve to have his #33 retired in Montreal as he couldn't act like a superstar like he was thought of ,nooooo he let in 9 goals (kinda like what his son does in the nets) and gave everyone the bird just like his son did after beatin a standstill opponent. Now you tell me if these actions and reactions aren't learned from their "legendary" Father!!!!
Posted Tuesday November 25, 2008, About: Yzerman as new Senators GM?
I'd say that sums it up! Why would he leave Detroit? Why? I'll tell you! It's the same reason Lindstrom left! Wait............Lindstrom Never left Detroit and neither will Stevie Y and that's because Detroit is one of the last N.H.L Teams that has the word FAMILY attached to it and Stevie has too much class to run out on his family!
Posted Monday November 24, 2008, About: Sundin's agent working teams
Play or don't play? Who to play with and who not to? These are the questions....just sign and stop ****ing around already!!!! Go to the Canucks they need ya!
Posted Monday November 24, 2008, About: Shanahan still testing market
Avery is a joke!!! He plays Hockey like a school kid in grade 1 at recess! Wow look how well he's doing with Dallas. Let me guess it's because he's not screening the goalie from 0.2 inchs from his face for the Stars to score and win? PIM doesn't get you any silverware at the end of the year and too many of those dumb penalties is costing Dallas lots of short handed time and that's great if they like playing 4 on 5. No disrespect to your opinion but this guy makes my stomach turn when he gets called a hockey player and I actually throw up when they say He's fashionable with the Hanson glasses. Even the Hanson's played better hockey and they were acting!!!!!
Posted Sunday November 23, 2008, About: Gainey meets Sundin in L.A.
One last thing about Sundin. The only two teams that would be a "perfect" fit are Detroit as they have the Swedish Olympic team there but it will never happen (Hossa was the right choice) and Vancouver who could use his services with all the ups and downs they have with their current line up.
Posted Sunday November 23, 2008, About: Gainey meets Sundin in L.A.
I am tired of reading constant, redundent crap! That said I am still interested in where some of these players go because changing teams almost always changes the players performance. Sundin stats speak for themselves and I don't know how I guy that has been this consistent over his career could be put down soooo much! He's a great player and I am certain that there is still plenty of fuel in his big bald topped tank and would be an asset to any team. I am interested to see him shut some people up!!! I am not sure what Shanny is waiting for? He needs to sign or retire bottom line! Khabibulin is a great goalie that's coming on strong as of late and could be a useful on a number of teams. Burke I'd like to see him stirr things up in T.O but without messin too much with the youth movement going on there as some of these younger players are playing great for how green they are. I have to say it one more time and also agree with the fact that there is too much attention to players that nothing is happening with
Posted Friday November 21, 2008, About: Roy ceremony has competition
Roy maybe the winningest goalie but that is because Brodeur is injured or you couldn't say that! Roy is a disgrace off the ice as a man ,husband and father and as for fighting I'd like to see Vernon take his head off again like he did when he was 40!!! Roy would only fight Clark if he was chained to the other net and didn't move ,kinda like the way he taught his son to fight! Roy BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! If it weren't for the teams in front of him except in 86 Roy would have a record more like the Beezer!
Posted Thursday May 22, 2008, About: Changes for Flyers defense
I have to agree that if Huet stays that it willl be a big part of Washington going a lot farther next year. I certainly don't think the Flyers season was a fluke, I watched a bunch of young men come together to make a team and they played like one this year and did well in the playoffs. I was hoping that Dallas would win (only to give support to local that is on the stars.Turco) but I'm not disapointed seeing the Wings get in either. The Pens I'm betting are going to take this one, and thats if they can get past the Wings defense and still shut down a powerful offense. I'm going to say Pens in 6-7 games..
Posted Friday May 16, 2008, About: Roy says no to Avalanche
Roy sure made it clear he liked Quebec better when he became an Avalanche in Colorado! Montral wasn't a good enuff hockey town for him.
Posted Friday May 16, 2008, About: Roy says no to Avalanche
I will lothe any team that puts Roy behind their bench. He is a wife beating, ungrateful(this is for you habs fans),terrible role model for his kids and any other kids that watch him because he's been said to be the best there ever was. HE IS NOT THE BEST!!!! He always had a stacked team in front of him(at least on defense) and when that was taken away it was time for him to flip evryone in Montreal off because he was left in the nets to let in 8 goals and couldn't suck it up. His ego is bigger than Garth Snow's shoulder pads used to be and IT WILL NEVER CHANGE! Roy should be on the waiting list to coach pee-wee hockey and while waiting he should start watching how parents are stopping with the ridiculous antics in the stands and do the same while he's in charge of coaching a team. He isn't a leader cause if he was he would have finished his career in Montreal not Colorado, espeacially the fact that he is a goalie. I can't stand this guy and everytime I give him the benefit of the doubt he's in the papers for something and it's not always hockey. I do hope that the teams looking for a good coach remember that to be a great leader you need to have character!!! And yes I know all the stats and awards he's won even when he shouldn't have!!!
Posted Monday April 28, 2008, About: Jagr gets in Crosby's face -- twice
Jagr is a jealous wimp!!!! his ego couldn't stand Super Mario coming out of retirement and telling him he had to start playing. I figure if he had that much trouble with his ego, then Crosby being alive must make Jagr run to the mirror and scream I'm GOOD ENUFF! I'M STRONG ENUFF AND DOG GONE IT PEOPLE LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!! I love that Fleury hasn't taken any guff from "look at me, look at me"(avery for those of you that actually care about the game and its truly great players.) and it looks as if the players on this Ranger team mirror their fans. Complaint after complaint not to mention damaged egos are the only sure thing in NY these days.

um..........What Pops just said!
Posted Saturday April 26, 2008, About: Did Crosby's dive sink Rangers?
Sids winning the scoring title last year. Wow thats not worthy of the hype he has been givin? I love Ovy he is incredible and I love to watch him play,Iggy aswell but I'm sorry Crosby is no embarassment! Look at the stats! Character? Please the guy took a paycut to keep the core of the young players in Pittsburgh, now thats character! Oh and who was it that played with a broken foot last year into the play-offs without a complaining? Crosby! He's great for the game and deserves all the respect thats givin to him. The only player that deserves to get more attention is Ovy and thats because of his fantastic year and not to mention he is Tough as steel! I hope that some people do a little research and then they will be able to see why Crosby gets hype. I am glad to see Ovy get the attention he deserves aswell finaly!
Posted Saturday April 26, 2008, About: Did Crosby's dive sink Rangers?
I can't beleive the "super mario" and Gretzky bashing as they don't play anymore!!! Sid is amazing bottom line. Rangers.......well I don't know what to say, the team is stacked, goalie is top notch, star players galore and whats the score? Pittsburgh 1-New York 200 excuses!!!
Posted Saturday April 26, 2008, About: Did Crosby's dive sink Rangers?
Anyone making excuses as much as the Rangers have these play-offs should apply for a job on the staff! 3-0 was the score correct? Did Sids alleged dive blow the 3 goal lead? I didn't think so. I'm doing a lot of reading and Ranger fans are getting ridiculous with the whining. I wish the Rangers would take resposibility for their loss own it and shut up and move on. It seems every game that NY has lost someone has an excuse for it and finds someone to blame and then take it further and start putting down stars that aren't even playing anymore. With the team NY has there are no acceptible excuses and there hasn't been since "94" so please stop whining and try winning!!!
Posted Thursday April 24, 2008, About: Jagr: Mario better than Crosby, Malkin
Jagr shouldn't be comparing anyone to anyone. Jagr is no Lemieux either adn proved it when Mario made his comeback. Jagr got jealous and lazy and basically has done little since he was a penguin himself. I'm not saying Jagr is no good but this is one guy that should just keep his trap shut and try to get back a little of his own scoring touch. Sid,Malkin and A.O are better players than Jagr and he is just trying to take a little confidence away from the young guys and it's a complete waste of time. The Pens of new should have no problem handling Jagr or that 4th grader they have playing with them(whos name I need not mention.). I'd like to see Jagr shut down or at least have his ego deflated a bit.
Posted Thursday April 24, 2008, About: Flames GM doesn't fault Keenan
Shakey17: I like what you said about Iggy and the Flames. You're right without Iggy Calgary would have been sitting waiting to see where they landed in the draft order instead of playing in the play-offs at all.
