Ask Felix Potvin he was no Pussycat! He gave Hextall a run, which Roy was too scared to do!

Vernon will do just fine though, and that was a great part of a Cup winning journey ending with a Conn Smythe win as well for Vernon! The year before he shared the Jennings with Osgood, another of Roy's foes.

He was great innCalgary too, especially against Roy!!!

I. Gotta comment even though this is finished. Roy showed his team, that they are playing for a guy who cares more about winning and the passion for it than anything. I don't like the man, but can't take away his success as both p,Ayer and coach.

I think he is a loose cannon, but if you were Varlomov and playing with him watching.....your gonna play with more focus! He demands it by his presence. Giguere followed up a few nights later with a shutout! This team is starting to look like they should have two years ago, and its all because of him.....and believe me when I say....I cannot stand saying that, as I don't like him.

I have to point out that he is fiery, but if Hextall was the coach on the other side of that glass....Roy would have been in a fight he would not have won, which is why he stayed in net for that one!

I guess it proves he's not a complete nut! He won 6-1 and made a statement, which translated into a 6 game winning streak that was ended tonight against the Wings.....not a bad start at all Patty.

I've missed you Yoda! I hope all is good in your greenish coloured world ;)

I voted right--------------> I did so, as this conversation is silly. I'll use hockey as an example, as I can't count the names of players who had one amazing season, then nothing but the norm after that.

I believe that he had a great year, and there are many dynamics to consider, not to mention the guys personality. If he did cheat, they did a great job of covering that up for a long time!

That's a tough one to compare. Both were great!

Best post of the day! Women aren't that hard to understand.......money makes them more predictable than.....ummm....other people? :)
Also Boston doesn't seem to hurt real bad right now, so I wouldn't count them out either. There was a time that you could pick the winner at the start of the year. Now.......not so much.
Lundquist carries the Rangers......period.
Ummmm......don't like sayin it, but Quick and the Kings look pretty darn good. Chicago lost 4-1 to Detroit today......so....we shall see.

Good TD. I am enjoying the arguments. Left is putting on a decent showing, but will wait for the last one to vote.....as always.

Good luck guys.

Interesting TD...

I am looking forward to the conclusion of these arguments...

GO DEVILS GO!!!!!! 1 more for Marty!!!!
Love the NHL. I'm on the fence on this one. Big guys get to use their height and weight as needed, but a smaller player who cannot compete at the same game tweaks so he can be effective, and not get hurt. I see why they didn't like the hit, but I still can't go either way. Marchand does have a spotty rep, for being here for such a short time( no pun intended), but now he'll have to keep his NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEE clean. Sorry bout the long nose ;)
Posted Wednesday December 21, 2011, About: Evgeni Malkin is better than Jonathan Toews
I like Malkin. He's agreat player, and I do think he's up around the top five....

however....

I have to go right. Toews is not only a great player, but has a lot more responsibility to his team as Captain, and every year he improves on his scoring, which hasn't been that bad. Add that to the fact that he has Malkin beat in most other categories.

Who ever said face-offs aren't important made a huge error in judgement. It's all about puck possession. Malkin was great last night, and is talented. Great hands, but Toews has him beat.

Hey your B-day is coming up eh? ;)

HA! Fair enough, and good reason.

It is close in a lot of ways, but I do agree with lefts assesment of people jumping on the Hawks, and JT bandwagon. Not that the kid doesn't deserve it, but it was a tad much.

I like both openings, and waiting for a strong second from O.J.

I'm talking TD here, not a murder trial! ;)

Me too! I like this kid, and he's just starting his NHL career really. I know the Flyers want him back in the worst way...

Really?

O.k......

I'm looking forward to this argument, but want more! Need more!!! HA!
Ahhhhh........nothing like a good laugh! I have to say this is going to be a really interesting TD once again. I'm wanting to see where this goes next.
HAAAA! LMFAO!

Now that's funny, and I am a musician, and co-lead singer in the band I am in. lol

That caught me totally off guard and I woke my daughter up with a blast of laughter! HA!

Again.....very good!
