Posted Monday April 27, 2009, About: Is Hobbs trade Brown's ticket out of Philly?
Eagles have stated that the trade for Hobbs has nothing to do with Sheldon Brown. Hobbs is a better cover corner, and Brown is a better physical corner. Having both of them really improve the CB depth for the eagles.
Posted Friday April 24, 2009, About: Giants want to trade up for Terp WR
They already have a super fast 6'2 receiver in Hixon.

As an Eagles fan, I'd love for the Giants to take Heyward-Bey.
Posted Wednesday April 08, 2009, About: Eagles eyeing Ocho Cinco?
Housh would have been the far worse Bengal to sign for the Eagles. TJ is a very good #2 reciever, and the Eagles already have a few of those.

He is nothing at all like T.O.

Owens is a very megalomenical person, whereas Chad takes a much lighter approach to the game. Chad doesn't do the things he does with ill-intentions, but a light heart.

I think a lot of you people seem to forget that your only fans of this game. Football is entertainment. Everyone seems to take it far too seriously. Your not affected when someone celebrates so why whine and berate the player so much becaus of it.

I guess you forgot TO didn't play in the playoffs that year.
Posted Friday March 20, 2009, About: Reid: Eagles can win without Dawkins
Let me translate what he is saying for you because clearly you don't understand.

They have the players necessary to compete for a championship, though it would require moving players around a lot to do so. To make competing for that championship easier, they're looking to add depth.

As for your notion that the Eagles are subtracting depth; how do you propose they make room for 12 draft picks, not to mention 8 draft picks from last year who didn't see the field at all.

Now I know, losing Dawkins was a big let down for a lot of Eagles fans, but on the field it made a lot of sense. Dawkins wanted to be an every down player still, and clearly he just can't. He's still a great in the box safety, but you can't retain a 36 year old one-dimensional safety who wants to be on the field every play. Sure, it would be nice to retain him as an inspirational leader but his morale would obviously be hindered by the fact he was not seeing the field quite as often as he wanted to.

Look for the Eagles to try to package one of their first rounders in a draft day deal to acquire a "superstar" at one of their needs (Anquan Boldin, Jason Peters, Braylon Edwards) or to move up to acquire one of the premiere offensive tackles in this draft. They'll still have plenty of picks to add depth at OLine, RB, TE, DLine, and the secondary.

He gets what? The organization moving forward...? What do you expect him to say; That they can't win without him?
Posted Friday March 13, 2009, About: Cowboy talking to Chiefs, 'Skins, Eagles
The Eagles will be better off next season (on the field) because they replaced Dawkins with a younger more versatile play-maker in Sean Jones. Dawkin was becoming a 36 year old, one dimensional Safety. They cant retain him to essentially be a motivational speaker, especially when he wants to be an every down player.
Posted Monday January 19, 2009, About: Angry Boldin to bolt Cardinals?
If he gets traded I don't see the giants having anything to trade for him. The more likely landing spot in my opinion is the eagles. They have a plethora of defensive depth, lito shepard, and 2 first round draft picks, any of which are much more appealing than anything the giants could offer.
Posted Friday October 03, 2008, About: Bengals kicker criticizes NFL
No, the problem isn't that they left the decision to play up to him. The problem was that the NFL didn't offer a roster exemption spot to the Bucs. This means that if Bryant decided not to play, somebody on the Bucs would have had to be cut to make room for an extra kicker. This had to weigh on Bryant's decision to play, which should not have been the case.

Posted Tuesday August 26, 2008, About: Berard to try out for Flyers
He hates the musical group, One eye blind.
Don't imagine he's too fond of Hossa either.

I also think that the Number 4 should be retired right across the NHL!
It's long overdue!
Maybe Berard thinks its 44 and can only see half of it.
Homgren should re-think signing Bryan, afterall, with the injuries this team suffers Bryan is a high risk. All Holmgren has to do is look back to last season...and with hindsight being 20/20...oh never mind. Bryan is the exception to that rule.

I think it's is a great match to bring in ratings simply because everyone knows about Shamrock and everyone knows about Kimbo, ratings will be through the roof.

Just when the Cardinals were ready to make the move from irrelevant to mediocre.

Haven't they been poised to make that move for the last 3 years?

they are missing a Defense and an O-line....remember the giants getting 12 sacks in that one game?
-Loki- | 08/19/08, 09:08 AM

They all came against Justice in a game where Westbrook was hurt. Esentially they were stacking the line with 3 ends, one over a guard. The Eagles Offensive line is very good, but a bit old.

Posted Sunday August 10, 2008, About: Goodell considers 18-game schedule
bad idea, 18 games will eventually dilute the importance of the game(s). Unlike baseball and basketball, all football games count. How often do you hear that basketball is going through the motions waiting to get to the playoffs--the real season
+40yrCowboyFan | 08/10/08, 09:52 AM

Basketball and Baseball games count. I can't count how many races come down to 1 game or a half of a game for the postseason.
