must clean the air before the season start. a player had to do it and it was alfie's task.
heatley, i hope he stays. but unhapiness seems to be rampant in ottawa. we had a unhappy goaler , forgot his name, at one time. it may be the water we take from the ottawa river which is downstream from a nuclear station or else .....anyway there is two gangs near the river that are no good example for the team. these gangs are always fighting verbally at each other. one we call the lower chamber or legislative assembly the other is the higher chamber, where our friend past coach jacques demers has been appointed recently. it is also called the senate
and the members are called senators.....same as the hockey team.
"There is no thruth to this Sun Rumor"
It would be nice that CH stays with Canadian ownership.
"The captain took on an increased role as inspirational leader of the Devils, who won the Stanley Cup in 1995. The Devils players and fans were galvanized by Stevens' thundering hits on opponents; key psychological elements in the victory. New Jersey won the Stanley Cup again in 2000 and 2003. While Stevens had been a star in the NHL for many years, including All-Star nods in 1996-97 and 2000-01, the 2000 playoffs must be considered Scott's defining moment. His thunderous checks, most notably on Eric Lindros in the semifinals, both inspired and dominated the post-season, and when his Devils won the Cup there was no question that he would be chosen winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player in the post-season.
Stevens again hoisted the Stanley Cup in 2003, and again was noted for delivering gigantic bodychecks. But although he had gained a reputation as an NHL Iron Man, having played 22 seasons in the NHL and regularly been among the leaders in games played, coming off his third Stanley Cup victory, Stevens' hard-nosed style caught up with him. He missed the majority of the 2003-04 season with post-concussion syndrome. On September 6, 2005, Scott Stevens was forced to retire."
Stevens gave concussions to a lot of players by hitting them "neat" on the head. And he still made it into the Hall of Fame. Where do you draw the line, Mr Campbell?
He sure made those guys look good, did he not? Forging a winning team is great matter. Bringing that team to the finals is beyond words.
Ottawa Senators probably would want him badly, Toronto also maybe enough to start a rumor.
I know Laraque and Roberts are on the same team. It does not make sense what I wrote. I just do not know where to let go my anger at Roberts for such a cheap shot.
Laraque is a clean player and should be ashamed at Roberts for being so mean. Who else would give a lesson to Roberts? And this has to be an internal affair. Good thing Lemieux is there to watch.
Detroit is a dream team. No wonder the Swedes lost at the WC. The Russians would have been beaten terribly if they had played Detroit.
What about Sydor: is he hurt or a healthy scratch. If the latter he should be playing. Leave Roberts. He is true grit. If he sucker punch Franzen again let Laraque give Roberts a lesson he won't forget.
