Seriously, good luck with the trip to auburn this week. If the refs don't try to **** out of the game like they've been known to do, I would figure LSU could outscore the auburn offense.
She looked last year into buying a summer home in Baton Rouge as well. I know because my brother in law showed her the house."
LOL.. You wish.. Why the heck would they want a "summer" home in Baton Rouge? They have a huge lake house in Georgia. Saban will be at Bama for a long time so you better learn to love it.
Good luck to Clemson trying to recruit the Mobile area in the future.
If Bama fans need to "learn how to read", I guess that means LSU fans need to learn how to spell and type. Best not to insult someone's intelligence if you don't know the difference between "there" and "their".
LOL.. Keep telling yourself that, LSUDYNASTY. One day, you might actually believe it. LSU fans should appreciate Nick Saban even more than Bama fans for turning that swamp trap you call a University into a national power again.
He took a 4-12 team and turned them around to 9-7 in his first year. Fell back to 6-10 his second year when his expected starting QB stayed hurt all year. Yeah, thats just terrible. LOL.. whatever makes you all sleep better at night. I'm just glad he's at Alabama now.
But Saban bashers, ask yourself this.. If he was such a terrible coach then why are so many south Florida media, fans and ex-coaches so upset that he left?
Roll Tide
Why you gotta bring Alabama into this discussion? Anyway, our cocaine selling stories happen to be true. :-)
Crean n' Crimson | 06/25/08, 07:55 PM
Crean,
What the heck are you talking about? Saban was hired in Jan '07. He pieced together parts of the '07 class and recruited fully the '08 class which was ranked #1 in the country. So he couldn't have been "building this monster the last few years" Only one player that he has recruited (Jeremy Elder) has been in trouble since Saban has been at Bama. All of the problems have been from upper classmen recruited by Mike Shula. Geez. Get your facts straight.
Wow. That's rich coming from a Buckeye fan. What's Maurice Clarett up to these days. I assume answering the phone isn't one of them.
The fact is that Saban out-works everyone in recruiting. Several SEC coaches pushed for this rule so they could keep up with their golf games in the Spring as opposed to recruiting as well as Saban. I would think even an LSU fan
could admit that.
The other guy arrested was a fullback that is sitting out this year because of injury. (Joe Surratt is his name I think). He's the one that's charged with felony assault on an officer.
I really don't have a problem with Geno Hayes playing in the game if thats the policy of the university. As far as team discipline goes, Bobby Bowden is responsible for that. We'll see if it inspires or harms his team in the long run.
I am looking forward to the game this week. I have always wanted Alabama/FSU to play each other. I just wish it was a long term contract for a number of games. Should be a good time down in Jacksonville this week.
Saban left LSU for the Miami Dolphins, not Alabama. Then decided that he didn't enjoy pro football. The scenarios are not equivalent.
"Any big-named recruit on the SEC radar with a social conscience and concern for their own image should keep an eye on what is going on in the Tuscaloosca public schools right now before deciding if they want to call that place home for three to five years. - Plus Saban will be gone from there in less than two seasons..."
What are you talking about? And you only wish Coach Saban was leaving in "less than two seasons." LOL great comedy...
Watch out.. I'll pull the Sly Stallone "Over the Top" move on you. eh he..
Greatest arm wrestling movie ever. Of course its the only arm wrestling movie ever but thats beside the point.
LOL.. Exactly my point. And Saban got you there twice in five years and won it both times he was there. You don't have to remind me. Bama was there five times in the first eight years of the existence of the game and won it twice. But they haven't been back since 1999. Which is why Saban is in Tuscaloosa and making $4M/year.
Sorry you feel betrayed by Saban returning to the SEC but a competitor wants to be with the best and I think we can agree that the SEC is the best. You guys should be happy with Les Miles.
You seem to conveniently forget that LSU had 7 losing seasons in ten years before Saban got there. He was 9-3 in his last season there. Certainly better than what LSU was doing before he got there. Good luck this season. I sincerely look forward to Nov. 3rd.
Les Miles has had the best talent in the league the last two years and hasn't even won an SEC title. Will he finally do it this year?
Again, keep saying it enough and you might actually believe it. I've been a Bama fan for a long time and the only people that bring up Coach Bryant in relation to any coach since his tenure are rival fans. You are the ones that are obsessed with the legacy of Coach Bryant. Alabama fans aprreciate for what it was, a dominant time in college football for Alabama that most likely will not happen again for any school.
