They are a good team, with a great coach, and an all time great quarterback. If you don't like it then please go prove it by beating them on the field instead of whining about stuff that happened years ago and had no impact on what happened last year.
Why change a formula that won you 66 games during the regular season? It makes no sense.
1. It is announced Thomas will not be speaking to the players.
2. It is announced NOBODY will be reporting to Thomas.
3. He is sent to Europe the same day the new coach is introduced.
Basically now it is just a contest of wills to see who will become so disgusted with the situation that the back down first. With millions on the line though it would not shock me to see Thomas scouting for centers in Outer Mongolia later this year.
If you want to blame someone blame all of the others making a killing off of what these kids do. Blame the agents that troll the waters like sharks looking to stick their teeth into high school freshmen. Blame the coaches who turn a blind eye while enjoying their million dollar salaries. Blame the entire college sports culture for turning amateur events into giant paydays.
It already seems like everything the Pats do is going to be absurdly scrutinized for the rest of the year. Patriots get busted for spying its a big story. 10 other teams do it and nobody cares. Harrison gets busted for HGH and it is front page news. Several others get caught and nobody cares. Wilfork hits the QB and he is a dirty player...25 other similar hits occur each game and nobody mentions it.
When they go 16-0 what will you people have to whine about then?
And I can't imagine him playing for the Red Sox after all the dust ups with him and members of the team. He isn't well liked in Boston.
Kent has proven himself as one of the game's premier locker room cancers. If only his skills on the field were as good as his ability to run his mouth.
You would think he could wait a few more weeks at least to spout off like this. A team needs cohesion for the stretch run.
A coach buying steroids from seedy vendors using fake presciptions is a real crime...maybe even a felony.
Pacman Jones walking into a strip club and "making it rain"...then being involved in a shootout that left people paralyzed...is a real crime
Michael Vick hanging dogs, drowning them, electrocuting them, and gambling on dog fights is a felony!
Various other players getting arrested for weapon violations, driving offences, or purchaing steroids/HGH are REAL crimes.
Bill Belichick videotaping his ex pupil and trying to get into his head is breaking an NFL rule.
Please, for the love of god, do not try to act like what Belichick did in any way equates to breaking real life laws.
This is just going to be used as an excuse to doubt all the success the Pats have had for the last several years, which is sad and rather outrageous.
Do you folks know that while videotaping is now considered illegal, it isn't illegal to have people with binoculars fixed on the opposiing coaches and recording all of their hand signals while you record the information? It is a very grey area within the rules. That is why the penalty was not more severe. It is not as if Belichick had the Jets locker room bugged. Basically he was doing what is already a common practice, but with a camera instead of binoculars and a video recorder.
And I guess we all saw last night what they can do without a camera..for all the clowns that think their Super Bowls should be taken away and all the other extreme nonsense. They only went out and totally dominated the best regular season team last year. I would love to see these guys go 16-0 and force the media critics to eat their words.
For example...what if two teams make a trade...and then one of the players obtained tests positive? Is it feasible to ban the guy for two years and expect the team to lose the player they traded for nothing?
Do you think having Barber calling out his coach every other week and having a big discussion about his possible retirement at week 10 was a good idea and helped the team? I liked Tiki when he played, but the more I see out of him the more he seems like another me first guy, much like TO. Barber just packages it much better.
