I say go with the youth (including Melky). All 3 pitchers showed something last year and this time they'll be there all year rather than a few months.
There will soon be 13 year old Yankee Fans who will have only seen the Yankees as losers....convert now.....
Weren't you a 13 year-old Boston fan who had never seen them win once upon a time? Did you switch allegiances? Don't hold your breath waiting for any Yankee fans to join Boston Bandwagon Nation,...EVER.....sorry dude.
But you were a 13 year old Red Sox fan who'd never seen them win anything also. Did you switch allegiances?.............You may have a ton of new Boston Bandwagoners nowadays but I don't know of any Yankee fans who would EVER root for ANY Boston team. Sorry.
Better yet, what happened to the Red Sox last year? - that's a clue to what to expect for the rest of this year.
I love it when Red Sox fans get excited about 1 lousy championship in their Daddy's life. I understand they're greatly angered by seeing the Yanks winning so many championships in their lifetime, but let's keep it civil! Keep the comedy coming!
Another thing, how is it that Yankee fan attendance has gone up since 2000 when the team hasn't won a Championship in that time and have anually disapointed their fans? Shouldn't those "bandwagon" Yankee fans have jumped ship by now? Wouldn't it be trendier to root for the Mets right about now? Have fun making your rationalizations Yankee-Haters!
