fire J.P. Ricciardi!! 7 years and no playoffs you gotta wonder why the guy is still around?? now more than ever they need to dump salary and start all over again! Even if it means trading arguable the best pitcher in the Majors Roy Halliday! This guy will get you some young prospects guaranteed from almost every team in the league! If you can get anything for Vernon Wells now do it b/c he is in decline! Keep Marcum and Mc Gowan! Dont even bother chasing the Red Sox, Yankees and Rays with this team.. it's too late!!

If the Red Sox get this guy then what happens to Youk and his 28 HR's and 115 RBI's??? DH?? I think it makes sense for the Yankees to get this guy and the sox Youk @ 1st and Ortiz as the DH! What the Red Sox need to work on is gettin an everyday starting catcher! THis teams stacked even with Manny gone! Pitching is great..... Dice- K.... Beckett... Lester... Wakefield and Masterson can already beat the Yankees starters!! Beckett healthy and on point cant be beat!! unless he is pitching agains the Jays Doc Halliday!! :)

Blue Jays should trade BJ Ryan to a team in need of a closer that loses out on Brian Fuentes and K Rod and then pick up Kerry Wood on a 2 year contract with team option for a 3rd year @ say 2 million a season! See here in the AL East the Jays can no longer compete with the Big Spending Yankees and Red Sox and lets not forget the suddenly strong Rays! With Burnett as good as gone and Marcum and Mc Gowan out of the rotation for the first few months of the season even a slight bit of hope is now gone as Doc Holliday cant carry a team all alone! Dump some contracts and pick up some prospects and re group in 2 years! The only one untouchable should be are the current starting pitching as they are young! Vernon Wells may be good trade bait also

I say JP Ricciardi opens up Ted Rogers pocket book and signs this guy to a contract that he cant refuse! the only way to get guys come to play in Toronto will b to open the wallet! Raptors should make a run for Gasol! They need a strong centre if they wanna make any serious runs! Bargnani is being used as a centre (doing a horrible job at the 5) but the guy is forward!
