The sad part about all this is....most people outside of NY and Boston want Mauer to sign a long term contract just to keep him away from both of the forementioned teams. Posada and Veritek are gramps....and are past their prime...if Mauer goes free agency next year.....look for both team to pursue him agressively!!

Very nice isight from a conference FOE. I enjoyed it. Something I was going to say...but you put it in words nicely. USC's past blowouts have been exactly what you describe....once the Trojan's established big leads....they just run the ball. That is all you can do...if still the opposition cant stop them...there is not much else the Trojans can do. Pete cant tell his players to just stop playing...that would interferred with the integrity of the game.

People who dont follow the team wont see this...all they will see is the final scores or highlights.

Clearly, with a big lead, going for 2 points is rubbing it in the face...but the nice thing about all this is that Stanford is a conference FOE.......and I bet the farm that USC will rebound from this loss quicker and maintain a more constent superior team in the long run than Stanford and will have many chances to rub it into faces of the Cards....

I have already circled next years game....
