Posted Wednesday June 04, 2008, About: Babcock rips Game 5 officiating
It doesn't matter that there is generally poor officiating, in the final as well as throughout the playoffs.

It doesn't matter that this is what Gary Bettman wants.

The Red Wings will prevail in Game 6 and put all this nonsense to rest.

I just wish it had been at home so all their fans could boo the Weasel when he had to relinquish the Cup.
Posted Sunday December 16, 2007, About: Inside Laraque's enforcer methods
If Laraque is truly the toughest fighter in the league, why is it that in the Flyers' game when he got out of the penalty box for elbowing that he decided to goon it up with stickwork instead of throwing hands which are used to fight with. If he wanted to tangle with Ben Eager he had his chance and passed. Instead, he seemed more concerned with making himself like a fool with "Robinson slide".

NBC hockey will be stale without him.
Posted Tuesday September 11, 2007, About: Kings search for No. 1 goalie
They had a no. 1 goalie in Garon. They just didn't have any defense in front of him.
Posted Tuesday September 11, 2007, About: Jilted 'Jersey' Jim takes Flyer
I want to see what Lou does with the Devils the day after Marty announces his retirement. Without Brodeur, New Jersey is simply a lower echelon team like let's say, Edmonton......
Posted Wednesday July 18, 2007, About: Will Bruins trade lead to another?
The Bruins need to find some scoring.
Posted Saturday July 14, 2007, About: Goalie deals hurting Senators?
It is the realists that say that Emery is only as good as the team in front of him. To pay him $5 million is ludicrous.
Posted Friday June 22, 2007, About: Why Bruins GM hired Julien
His only saving grace up to that point was the new scoreboard which on most nights had Boston on the down side.
Posted Friday June 22, 2007, About: Canucks seeking Flyers' pick
What's with all of these 160-pounders this year?
Posted Friday June 22, 2007, About: Impatient Flyers to trade Pitkanen?
The down side of the Flyers moving Pitkanen and bringing in Timonen is that Pitkanen is 23 and Timonen is 32. At the end of Timonen's contract if he stays, Pitkanen will be 29.

I agree the NHL needs a city like Chicago to have a team that can be competitive and get in the playoffs. Problem is, there is too much parity and too many teams. The talent is spread so thin that the have nots are finding it nearly impossible to stay in the game. Another problem is the Hawks management, ownership is for the most part substandard and it's very difficult to draw quality free agents with the losing tradition this club has.
Posted Tuesday June 19, 2007, About: Red Wings GM to meet with agents
I feel for you Hawks fan, I feel your pain. Chicago could be a great hockey city if the Blackhawks had a real owner. I've been to the United Center. It was a cool place to see a game and it just so happened it was the Hawks and Wings I saw there. I used to love the "rivalry" the Wings and Hawks had in the late 80s and early 90s. But not going with that since Roenick, Savard and Chelios left. Of course, Savard came back to coach but I don't think he's the answer. Chicago had a rough and tumble team at one time that I don't think any NHL team liked playing against.

that's it Johnny Canuck, call us stupid....
Posted Tuesday May 22, 2007, About: Hull thinks 'terrible' Anaheim is done
You know what else is terrible? All the tickytack penalties the officials are calling that interrupts the flow of the game. If the NHL wants to sell the game, they need to let people see it the way it can be played.
Posted Tuesday May 22, 2007, About: Hull thinks 'terrible' Anaheim is done
The NHL and Gary Bettman are terrible too for that rinky dink deal they signed with NBC that allowed NBC to switch over to horse racing an hour before the Preakness.....
Posted Tuesday May 22, 2007, About: Hull thinks 'terrible' Anaheim is done
The Ducks were terrible on Sunday, call a spade a spade. They won, but they were terrible. Sooner or later those horseshoes are going to fall out of their pants, though.
Posted Monday May 21, 2007, About: Will Bruins sign or deal Zinovjev?
He must be good otherwise the Bruins would sign him.
