We have to be allowed to brag a bit since we have won the last 2 championships. You all would be doing the same if a Big 10 school would have won.

If you'd be honest about it Mr Undefeated, you'd agree that App. State would have handled many of the lower tier SEC teams last year. They were pretty darn good last year, easily winning the Div II National Championship. They manhandled a Delaware team that had Joe Flacco at QB. I don't think it is wise to schedule Div II competition....nothing to win and much to lose.

It would be different if Michigan was a low-tier Big 10 team, but they are not. And they lost at home. I garauntee you no top SEC team would ever, ever lose at home to a Division 1-AA school.

Undefeated, Appalachian State is not a Division II team. They are Division I-AA (or FBS nowadays). MANY a Division I-AA team has defeated a Division I-A team prior to the Michigan/Appalachian State game. In fact, I believe 13 other schools accomplished the same feat last year, but under much less of a spotlight. (North Dakota State actually beat TWO Division I-A opponenets last year.)

All I can say about the Big Ten and the SEC is this: No SEC school has ever lost to a Division 2 team.

See, I like Tressel, but the fact is the SEC is the best conference in the nation because of the talent it pulls in. Call me a homer, but our conference is quicker and stronger than any others. While the Big 12 is catching up, there is no debate. The SEC is the best.
