Posted Saturday August 10, 2013, About: Jack Clark fired after accusing Albert Pujols of PEDs use
Whomever is innocent needs to stand up and offer to take a public lie detector. Good late night tv show in the making. If Clark actually was told this by the trainer he could set a list of questions that would allow him to prove he believes that is what occurred and his radio version would not be questioned. Albert could be the first professional athlete (as far as I know) to offer to clear his name and back his 100% clean guarantee. The union would not like it but again the clean people have been getting more vocal and this would be a way to tell the world that all guilt by association is not real (if he were actually innocent).

If Clark is telling the truth he should stand up and offer to take a public lie detector. If Pooholes is innocent he should do the same. The easiest way to get the public on your side is to be the one to offer a way to back your claim (even if lie detectors arnt 100%). It shows you have confidence in your statements.

Why would no team select him in the waiver period. Pistons select him with a 3 million bid. A defense of Drummond/Smith/Artest on the front line ... OMG. It would make sense and I actually think after the initial hell breaking loose he would be liked in Detroit.

2007-2008 is only 5 years ago and they were in the eastern conference finals that year. Were close to .500 the following year then tore it apart. If they have 6 years down after 10 years on top I would call that a positive for Joe D. Some people just don't get their facts right.
Posted Wednesday July 03, 2013, About: Pistons target Rondo, Gay
Gay plays the 3(SF), Smith is a 4(PF). They just added a PG in the draft at the end of the 2nd round and I'm sure most GM's would be willing to add a potential All-Star(Rondo) in place of a low 2nd round choice. The Pistons 1st rounder was KCP a shooting guard from your area. If your baskeball knowledge is that good I suggest staying out of the fantasy leagues and ponder questions more in line with your mental capacity (like Mustard Vs Katchup). Leave the baskeball ratings to Hall of Famers Like Joe D.

He has the right to ponder offers, and the right to take the offer to another team to see if he can get a match. Its all a game in bargaining for multi-million dollar contracts. If it was about the money he screwed up by not jumping on it. If the team, location or potential to win was in consideration then a little less money may have been accepted. But if someone is not on board with you Sac does not have the obligation to sit tight and wait. We all went thru this at the school dances, if you wait to long to answer your partner may not be your partner anymore.

This buying people out business is redonkulous. Add the Amnesty clause and FA on top of it and you have people with mulit million dollar contracts dogging it cause they dont have the right vibe. Teams trading draft picks so they dont have money on thier books, does this make sense. Instead of trying to get value and coaching up your team the NBA has created one of the most polluted wheels of Russian roulette with contracts and player value that the players run the league and owners and GM's hold on and try to manipulate the media to prove they are still viable. This whole collective bargining that the NBA did makes no sense for either side.

In the 2nd year of a 4 year plan... So with Wade having just turned 30 in January that will make him......
30+2=32 when they hit year 4.
At worst 7th pick - considering they have more wins that Kings, Hornets, Nets, Raptors, Pistons, Wizzards and Bobcats and are within one win of Warriors. They could be picking 9th very easily and are currently in line for the 8th pick.
and I will give you tons of Picks 1) Heat 2013 and 2) Heat 2015 first rounders. 3) Lakers 2012 pick. 4) Cavs receive the Kings 2012 first-round pick lottery protected in the 2012 Draft, top 13 protected in 2013, top 12 in 2014, top 10 protected in 2015 and 2016, otherwise a 2nd round pick in 2017 to go with thier own firsts the next 3 years.
Im kinda rooting for the Heat to slip the next 2 years and not win a ring. And seeing Cleveland somehow overtake the Heat in 2014. With the cap space and LBJ able to opt out there may be enough of a team for him to actually come back to Cleveland (but would they want him)?

Ya it makes him sound swedish. What I dont understand is how baseball is set up to let people like this just get found. While others need to get drafted. But if you come from out of the country you can just be bought. They draft 50 or so rounds in hopes of getting 1 - 2 players then bid on the ones they should be drafting.
Posted Friday March 02, 2012, About: Celtics working hard to move Rondo
The Celtics are in the same boat as the Pistons 2 years ago. The team is ageing quickly and player contracts are above production. Questionable moves by Duars and Ainge were done to try to hold together the teams runs. Once they hit the decline the only choice is to blow it up and rebuild. I see where the Pistons are going and they have 2 years to go. The Celtics are just entering the quick drop stage. As long as Ainge dosent misues his money coming off the books (Gordon, Charlie V) then they have a chance not to bottom out. But bottoming out may be the best way to get back to the top quickly (Money off the books plus lottery = up and coming team).

But the people who use the school > money argument need to get serious. NBA minimum salary can buy you a 4 year skolarship. Thin it kan teach you englitch or any other language. But the schools have a responsiblility to give these athletes a finance class that can show them how to turn 2-3 million dollar years into a lifes salary and not expect them not to ride the high life and blow 10's of millions and be 26 with a bad knee and no money. By the time the athletes do the right thing 10% to the agent, 10% to the church, house for mom, car for themselves, taxes its easy to see how they can blow a rookie contract if not given proper financial direction (but god has his cut and his agent has his, and they can move back in with mom).

Posted Sunday February 26, 2012, About: Report: Wallace to sign with Lakers
Welcome Back Sheed, now all the lakers need is a Prince. Trade one of their 2012 firsts (currently both low 20's) and Murphy to the Pistons for Wil Bynum and T. Prince using thier trade execption for the extra salary. Murphy could be switched for Kopono or Barnes its basically a salary dump. This would add deth to the Lakers for one or 2 last shots. For the Pistons it would allow them to open up 18-23 million next year by using the amnesty on Charlie V or Ben Gordon. This would leave them with Legit players Monroe, Jerebko, Knight, Stuckey and (Charlie V or Gordon whichever remains). Also a top 10 lottery choice and a low 20's pick in the draft, add to that money for a Free Agent (McGee, Kamen or Beasley all Det connections) and they have a solid young 8 man rotation with Daye, Singler, Maxiel as depth players. Another Draft choice in 2013 and 11 million coming open with R. Hamiltons contract off the books and losing Maxiel, the would be deep enough and financially free enough to make a play for one more key piece. This move would help lakers and leave Pistons 1 lucky ball(I'll pre-empt all darko remarks here) or one good trade and one signing away from a legit team once again.

Posted Saturday July 17, 2010, About: Timberwolves guilty of worst contract signing?
A 25 year old backup center getting 5 million per to play up to his prime years is not that absurd. If he was to enter the draft this year people would be in love with his size and guess what he would be right around that salary slot. In terms of where he stands on Piston backup salaries (sorry Joe) Jason Maxiell is getting 5 million and I would trade him straight up for Darko. Chris Wilcox 3 million is right in range with Darko. I would call it a good signing if it were 5 years 20 million or at least gave an option for a 5th in case Darko sees the light but as far as a worst contract the NBA has seen much worse.
