Having it in Canada will do nothing for the growth of hockey in the United States. You can always count on the Canadiens to watch the games and this one I know they will. By having two "American" teams play in the US outdoors more Americans may be tempted to watch. Hell more people in Buffalo watched the Stanley Cup finals than in Anaheim..

If Buffalo can make them fair offers I think they both will stay. Sure Biron its friends with Briere... but I seriously doubt Danny would pack up his family to be closer to Marty and play on the Flyers... yuck. Drury will go wherever he feels he can have the best shot at winning another cup at a nice salary. If Buffalo can prove to him they will make changes (buh bye Kalinin, Spacek and more) I think he would stay also.

maybe its cuz im a buffalo fan and im biased but i dont think emery is that good. It was the two other goalies in front of him that bailed him out for most of the season and playoffs.

There are some things more important then money... Is maybe 1 or 2 million worth telling you're three sons that you are packing up and moving to another team even though you could've stayed at home. It's not like Briere is being shipped out and has no choice, I think it makes things more difficult for him and a lot more interesting for us all.

Good chance Briere stays in Buffalo. I think its going to be hard to keep Drury and if he goes Briere will definately stay even passing up larger offers. He has pretty much established his family in this community and it would take a lot to just pack up and move. Sometimes money isnt everything... its not like the Sabres would insult him with a deal either.
