Wow. True the Islanders franchise is and has been in the dumps for a while but I think it's absolutely classless to refuse to play for a team that drafts you. Lindros did it and what did he accomplish? 0 stanley cups and 50 concussions! When Lemieux was drafted by the Penguins they were a crapppy team as well and they eventually won a cup. I don't think that the Islanders will win a cup anytime soon but if they get the first pick and they chose Tavares then he should play for that organization and prove his worth!

A $$-whole and what made matters worse is that he was an A $$ whole with few friends in the NHL. Absolutely no one came to this guys defense which makes you question his character. Perhaps he should spend less time worrying about mathcing his pink shoes with his tacky short/pant suits and focus more time on developing friendships with players in the league. I'm not sure if and when he will be back in the league but he could always work for the NHL women's wear department. I'm sure he'll have some great input on those ugly pink jerseys!!!

Wow. So true! The Maple Leafs are not committed to winning or greatness. For the last ten years this organization has made extremely poor choices. The only thing saving this organization is their delusional fans who continue to purchase tickets despite the fact that the Leaf's office is not willing to invest in creating a cup contending team. Bowman made a wise choice!!!!
