Well said. The decision has to be carefully evaluated but the fact remains that Shane McMahon has a lot of succes in his roles of Marketing Exec and Internation Relations at the WWE. The UFC is currently looking to expand into markets where the WWE is already well-known (Mexico, parts of Europe, Australia, Japan) and Shane McMahon has experience there. He also has a tremendous number of business contacts in the product development, media sales, supplemental programming, and even in the match-making and event-planning areas ---- all areas that cross over with the needs of the UFC.

If they brought him in, it would have to be very carefully managed in order to avoid the pitfalls that most of the posters in this thread have alluded to but to say it makes "no sense AT ALL" or to suggest that Shane McMahon would simply turn the UFC into a circus is ludacrous and oversimplistic.

Brock Lesnar is heavily linked with the UFC and is their biggest PPV draw and live-gate draw by far.

There is too much money involved for this fight not to happen. It's just like the Manny-Oscar pre-fight squabbling.
The 'threatening to kill the deal' is common practice in any business contract of this size. It's designed to get even a few percentage points to swing one way or the other since even a couple of % is a ton of money.

The fight will happen. If Manny wants the BIG payday in the fall with Floyd, he has to show he can handle Hatton first.
