Here it is again folks: RON TURNER IS THE PROBLEM!!!!! He is NOT COMPETENT at the NFL level (or D-1 NCAA level either apparently...look up his U of I days). Sure Jay, Kyle, Rex, Moses, Chad etc have their shortcomings, but Tom Brady and P Manning would look unimpressive in Turner's offense. FIRE RON TURNER NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

say it ain't so! I think the suggestion that the Sox would want Damon is ridiculous - he's too old and too East Coast. If he left the Yankers, he'll go to another northeast team where he will get the most play on ESPN.

My best Johnny Damon memories are when he was on the Bosox, and the Yanks wouldn't even call him by name - they just called him "Idiot".

the Bears didn't miss the playoffs because of their QB. Tom Brady wouldn't bring more than 2 more wins per year with this team. Hire Mike Martz or another competent offensive coordinator and watch amazing things happen! Far and away the Bears biggest flaw is RON TURNER!

how is it that everyone is overlooking the obvious? RON TURNER is the Bears BIGGEST FLAW!!!! A major league Offensive Coordinator will devise plays and a strategy that fit the skills (or limitations) of the QB, the receivers, the O-line, the backs. Turner must think he has the '85 Bears to work with! Clearly this Bear team has weaknesses but the coaching staff's job is to get the best out of what they have.

Look at the NYGiants - do you think that man-for-man they are anything special on offense? well maybe their line is premium, but their receivers are middling, Eli is middling, and those backs are only as good as the holes they are blowing through. Yet watch the plays - the blocking is solid, holes are open, Eli has all day to find a receiver, the receivers are wide open. This is a result of COACHING folks, not simply the players. and that's why they are heading back to the Big Dance.

rikj - I side with you in this debate. Really can't understand where Jonis and Rex are coming from...just haters I guess. Golf will go on without Tiger, but he is the major reason it has become what it is (huge money, year round tourneys, international popularity, etc.). and calling it a minor sport - perhaps in the great white north it is, but then anywhere south of snowland it's fair to call hockey a minor sport.
