That is where the problem comes in. They both want control of the company and don't want to have to work with or make compromises in who is in contorl ofthe company. Teresa wants to keep control, Jr wants more say in the company.
As for Gibb's if he does not support alcohol advertisement then he needs to remove the decal from his cars. I realize that is would be hard to give up the chance to race in the Budwiser Shootout, but if your going to protray yourself as a moral authority in advertising you need to back it up all the way.
Having said that I don't think that it is right. She knows what Dale Sr wanted and should have begun making arrangments to full fill those wishes. Giving Dale Jr more say in how the racing side of DEI is run, and more responsibility. Looking at him as more that just the Step-son that you didn't always get a long with.
I also think that giving Dale Jr 51% of DEI would not have been right. The company should be divided evenly amounst Dale Sr's 4 children, with Dale Jr at the head.
