Which isn't true, Emery wasn't even with the Chiefs when Bowe was drafted, please get your facts straight. The first draft Emery was involved with for the Chiefs was 2010 when they drafted Eric Berry, a full 3 years after Bowe was selected. Good call though....

Not their fault either genius, when your star running back goes down in week 2 your not gonna run as far as you planned. Watch them this year, they are so much deeper than most teams in the league they'll win a few ball games.
Posted Tuesday June 05, 2012, About: QBs struggling to win Chiefs backup job
Good call reject... Chiefs have one of the deepest rosters in football, by comparison the Vikings just plain suck. Everyone dogs Cassel but if you were a QB in the NFL you would do what your coach says or you would be benched. Do you think it was arbitrary that the Chiefs fired Haley? He was running the team into the ground. Haley sucked, couldn't call an offense and 1/2 of the team was broken. Oh, by the way, the Chiefs still beat the Vikings even when we had Haley. 27 touchdowns, 7 interceptions and a whole lot of "fans" with some darn short memories.
Posted Monday May 28, 2012, About: Phillies 'definitely' concerned about Halladay
He's had injuries before, earlier in his career. He'll be fine, might come back as the same ol' Roy, might be a little less. I'd take a slightly less effective Roy Halladay over pretty much any number 2 pitcher in the league. It's not a team that doesn't have another answer or two at starter. He does not have to dominate every outing for the Phils to contend.
Posted Saturday May 26, 2012, About: Brees' folly: Overestimating his worth
To me, Brees is a product of the Saints' remarkable offensive system.... seriously??? That must be why he nailed it as a Charger too, Sean Payton's future New Orleans system...

And the Chargers drafted Drew Brees and L.T.2 when they traded down to let the Falcons take Mike Vick. Sometimes it just depends on how big a hand full of beans you get back.

I challenge all you haters to find one thing T.O. said that isn't, for the most part, accurate.

14 games, 72 catches, 983 yards, 9 touchdowns. A knee injury at the end of the year cost him 1000 yards and 10 TD's. The man is not washed up, get over yourselves people. Just because you don't like the guy means you feel free to run your mouths way worse than he ever has. Since all you don't like about him is his mouth that makes the majority of you hypocrits, congratulations.

This coming from the genius that doesn't think Jennifer Aniston is hot. Oh yeah, and the same rocket scientist that can't comprehend how to cook an egg in the microwave, something I've known how to do since I was like 6. Toolbag.

You have to pop the yolk, it can be done though, without microwave destruction

He needs to get his 3k hits out of the way and hang them up.
Posted Monday June 27, 2011, About: Davey's hire was years in the making
Yeah, I remember the last time Old Davey had him a bunch of young guys. Those late 80's Mets, let's see, now what happened with them? Oh yeah, two guys snorted insane amounts of cocaine (Strawberry and Gooden) and now Dykstra is in legal trouble every week. Sure, let's turn Strasburg and Harper over to him. He'll teach them the good stuff.
Posted Monday June 27, 2011, About: T.O. considering retirement
Not sure if he'll go first time or not either. I honestly think it depends on a few other active WR's. If last season was his last season, and I personally do not believe it will be (name another active receiver in as good of shape) then guys like Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald have a chance to pass some of his numbers. If that happens then it is possible he would be kind of like Shannon Sharpe who didn't go in until his third ballot, in my opinion mostly because Tony Gonzalez was trivializing his numbers. Of course this almost ensures that Gonzalez retires #2 all time in receptions as he and Owens were neck and neck. (being a Chiefs fan I can't say I mind that as I remember watching the day Gonzalez was drafted) For the record, Owens did have, while in 'Frisco some Steve Young guy for a few years, one of which Young led the league in TD's, 14 of them to T.O. so he's had a HoF QB and then McNabb who will merit discussion but I doubt will get in. (That could be a whole seperate argument) As for Monk, he undoubtedly does belong in the Hall and I would never argue otherwise.
Posted Monday June 27, 2011, About: T.O. considering retirement
Otis, I usually agree with most of what you say, but this time no dice. To say it was wrong to make Art Monk take so long by comparison to T.O. is not appropriate. 3 men in NFL history have more touchdowns than Owens (not counting qb's of course) Those 3 are Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith and Marcus Allen, though since T.O. is going to at least miss signifigant time it is safe to say Tomlinson will join them. Art Monk scored 68 TD's which is less than 1/2 of T.O.'s 141. T.O. is second all time in receiving yards while Art Monk is 14th, over 3000 yards behind. Owens is also fifth all time in receptions having 138 more than Monk who ranks 12th. If Art Monk is in the Hall of Fame then T.O.'s presence, regardless of how you feel about the man personally, is required. By the way, for those that say he's a cancer, it was interesting that the only reason the Eagles didn't win a Super Bowl was because McNabb, not T.O. coming off a broken leg, was puking on the field, musta skipped his dose of Campbell's Chunky Soup that morning I guess. Also, look at every other year of McNabb's stats, none of them compare to the nearly full year he had T.O. T.O. made QB's look good for a lot of years. He's no marginal receiver.
Posted Sunday May 22, 2011, About: Thunder vet: Westbrook thinks he's better than Durant
They are both kids, as long as Durant, Harden and Westbrook go have a beer in the offseason (since they are all old enough now) they should be able to work things out. The thing Westbrook does need to realize is that, while yes he is very good, Durant is an amazing athlete as well, it's hard to admit that someone is as good or better than you when you're young. Even if this post season doesn't go their way it's hard to imagine Westbrook not realizing that it wasn't just him individually that made the playoffs. OKC did bring in a trump card though because if he can't figure it out for himself Perkins will find a way to get it through to him I'm sure.
Posted Sunday May 22, 2011, About: Blazers GM wanted Roy suspension
I love all the people that write a man off. I saw the 18 point outburst in the 4th quarter of game 4 against the Mavericks. Yeah, a washed up old broken guy could do that. He might not be "the man" anymore as some of you have said, but in a game where the outcome is important he's definitely worth giving more than 2-5 minutes. Just because he can't play 40 minutes every night doesn't mean it's time to hang it up. He had every right to call BS especially if he tried to talk to the club about it first. Paul Allen should have ignored his pals calls to fire Kevin Pritchard, the club never seemed to have as much drama with him around and you could always count on him doing what was right to add to his ball club. This new hack is embarassing when the best player on the team feels like he can only talk to the media to get his disputes settled. (Though Aldridge finally made a case about the fact that he can be a winner in the NBA)

Posted Thursday April 21, 2011, About: Franklin blasts Cards fans: MLB's best? 'Yeah, right'
As a lifelong Cardinals fan, I'd like to wish Ryan Franklin good luck at his next job. He'll not be employed long I'm sure. It's gonna be pretty funny now everytime he gets "the call" to pitch. Since he was so precious and said, "best fans in baseball. Yeah right." he'll get to see the really bad side of the Cardinals fans now. Franklin has always been over rated and still was given the benefit of the doubt by those same fans. Now that they can tell he sucks it's kinda funny to me that he says it's the fans that suck. Trade him.... to the Pirates... no chance of blowing any saves there...
Posted Saturday April 16, 2011, About: Source: Lakers owner wants Jackson to return
He did not quit his job in Chicago. If you are going to post a comment at least be knowledgable about what you are talking about. He was forced out of Chicago which is why Michael Jordan retired the 2nd time. He did not want to start over with a new coach. That's why when Jordan went to Washington he hired Doug Collins before he came down from the front office to play again. The only 2 coaches Jordan had at the pro level were Collins and Jackson. Krause and Reinsdorf forced Phil out. If you want to talk about Phil retiring and coming back, why not talk about when he retired from the Lakers and then came back like a year later, also with the Lakers. But he didn't coach 11 more years after that (at least not yet) it's more like 3 or 4 now.
