Oh puh-lease! Let's not be naive. Recruiting is nothing BUT pandering! And if you follow CFB recruiting these days, you know that many prized recruits' parents get HEAVILY involved in their kids' choice of schools, sometimes to the point of choosing FOR them.

Sending a recruit's mom a Mother's Day card isn't cheap. It's brilliant.

Trickett will be the starter. The kid can play some ball. Lest anyone forget, the ONLY reason Trickett was a back-up at FSU, is because the 2 guys that started ahead of him were each first-round NFL picks. He would have been a starter long ago at most other schools.

Clint Trickett can play. Don't sleep on this kid. He won't win any Heismans, but he's a coach's kid, who grew up around D-1 football, and is a gamer. He performed better than average as a back-up at FSU, and it wasn't just garbage time. He's got several starts, and wins, under his belt.
