If this is true, then you're a bigger idiot than I thought. If you were a UF fan back then, then you of all people should respect what Coach Bowden has done. UF's run of dominance lately is now almost HALF as long as ours was. So, if Urban stays at UF, AND wins 10 games a year for the next 7 years or so, AND learns how not to be a arrogant ass, THEN he can be in the same discussion as Coach Bowden and some of the true legends of the game.

In 7 or 8 years, you MIGHT have something to talk to me about. Right now? You should just shut up and enjoy your time in the sun. All that arrogance will be hard to swallow when UF loses, whether it's to us or someone else...

Amazing how many fans UF has picked up in the last two years. I wonder who you were rooting for in the 90's when The Doak was a House of Horrors for UF and little stevie.

You want me to be impressed? Let's see Urban go to a school with a losing tradition in football and build them into the most feared team in the land, which FSU was for more than a decade. Let's see Urban continue to win, at the SAME SCHOOL, for more than 5 years. Let's see Urban show some loyalty and stick around after his team stops being ranked in the Top 5, or when the NFL comes calling, as Coach Bowden has. Let's see Urban show some respect and humility, as Coach Bowden ALWAYS has.

Regardless of the National Titles, Urban Meyer has a LONG way to go before he's in the same league as Bobby Bowden.

There really IS no issue here. Bobby Bowden will coach the Seminoles for one final season, 2010. After next season, Jimbo takes over. This is what Coach Bowden has been asking for, and it IS what's going to happen. Bank it. Nobody will tell him he can't coach next year, and he will not hold FSU hostage and force them to fire him or pay Jimbo the buyout.

This is all very simple, but I guess sports writers have to justify their salaries somehow.

Interesting that nobody has yet commented on the fact that Florida State somehow manages to play Florida AND Miami, EVERY YEAR...and we have done so since well before Miami was in our conference. If our AD had adopted the same policy as UF's AD has, I wonder how many more National Titles FSU might have today...
