Unlike you, I can acknowledge another teams' accomplishments and am capable of complimenting other teams, even our rivals. UF is having a fine run right now. How come some of you gators feel the need to disrespect everyone else in order to support your team? I suspect the mouthy ones are probably the young bucks, and that's cool. Age will provide you with perspective. I know it did for me...

1989 - FSU 24, UF 17
1990 - FSU 45, UF 30
1991 - UF 14, FSU 9
1992 - FSU 45, UF 20
1993 - FSU 33, UF 21
1994 - FSU 31, UF 31
1995 - UF 35, FSU 24
1996 - FSU 24, UF 21
1996 - UF 52, FSU 20
1997 - UF 32, FSU 29
1998 - FSU 23, UF 12
1999 - FSU 30, UF 23
2000 - FSU 30, UF 7
15 games, 4 UF wins, and only one by more than 11 points. When, exactly was this "routine" interruption of getting the crap beaten out of us by UF? Take a long look at this my friend, UF was little more than a speed bump for FSU for 15 years. You might want to check your facts before saying something THAT stupid again.
Joining the SEC would have done nothing for our hoops program, and we certainly didn't need the SEC to raise the profile of our football team. Competition? We were already beating their best team on a regular basis. The SEC needed FSU far more than FSU needed the SEC.
BTW, we beat Nebraska for that title. I'm SURE gator fans remember how hard it was to beat the Huskers in the 90's...DON'T YOU?!
In 7 or 8 years, you MIGHT have something to talk to me about. Right now? You should just shut up and enjoy your time in the sun. All that arrogance will be hard to swallow when UF loses, whether it's to us or someone else...
You want me to be impressed? Let's see Urban go to a school with a losing tradition in football and build them into the most feared team in the land, which FSU was for more than a decade. Let's see Urban continue to win, at the SAME SCHOOL, for more than 5 years. Let's see Urban show some loyalty and stick around after his team stops being ranked in the Top 5, or when the NFL comes calling, as Coach Bowden has. Let's see Urban show some respect and humility, as Coach Bowden ALWAYS has.
Regardless of the National Titles, Urban Meyer has a LONG way to go before he's in the same league as Bobby Bowden.
(Note: If your team's coach doesn't have a resume to match Coach Bowden's, this will be a lot less fun for you than it will be for me.)
While Jackson is in the foreground asking, "What's in YOUR wallet?", in the background they need to have a few people sitting in a car with three guys in Creamsicle-Orange ski masks firing BB guns at the car while screaming "Gimme everything you got!"
Be careful, G-i-e, he might bust out the "I'm rubber and you're glue" argument next.
Salary: JUSTIFIED.
This is all very simple, but I guess sports writers have to justify their salaries somehow.
If you HAD bothered to get any facts, you would also know about our relationship with the Seminole Tribe of Florida. It ain't about money, it's about respect. I would lay out the history of our relationship with the Seminoles of Florida for you, but I get tired of re-posting the same information every time ANOTHER dumbass, like yourself, spouts off about something they have no understanding of.
Now, continue to wallow in your ignorance.
