Oh puh-lease! Let's not be naive. Recruiting is nothing BUT pandering! And if you follow CFB recruiting these days, you know that many prized recruits' parents get HEAVILY involved in their kids' choice of schools, sometimes to the point of choosing FOR them.

Sending a recruit's mom a Mother's Day card isn't cheap. It's brilliant.

SG, if I may, I think what OT is getting at, is why the hell anyone needs to know the name of a guy who was rated the FIFTY-THIRD best pro-style QB in his class, and is 2 for 8 passing in his college "career." The guy's jersey should just say "clipboard holder" on the back. So again...

I would be embarrassed if FSU went 6-7 and accepted ANY bowl bid. Teams shouldn't even be bowl eligible with a .500 record. This is getting ridiculous.
