Personally i'd like to see Mustain get some reps in the UVA game. Should be a beatdown so chances are Coach Carroll will try and rest Sanchez' knee once victory is inevitable. With Sanchez' a creeky knee, Mustain could be one snap away from being the "guy" at some point yhis season. Early season reps would be huge for him. I like USC over OSU, probably by a feild goal, but an SC win will come to fruition.

The Trojans will be fine! Coach Carrol is the best in the game and knows what he's doing. Wayyyyy to early to be making speculations about an offense that WILL be explosive this year. Sanchez or Mustatin will eventually have them where they want to be in the Poll's. Oh, and 1 out of 11, against one of the best defences in the country isn't really that bad cosidering it was Mustain and Corp's first day taking the majority of the reps. USC isn't going anywhere, way to much talent, amazing coaching and tradition. I'm already stoked for the UV game let alone the OSU game at the coliseium. I have a funny feeling that Mustain may end up having the BIG year. That kid was slick in the SEC, i expect him to win the QB job, a injured Sanchez or not. Go Trojan`s!!

Kudos Crean n' Crimson! Jonas Gray could be a Solid contibutor right away. you also hit it on the button about the defensive line. They should be much improved this year. The secondary should especially be good because of the defensive line. The more pressure they throw at O-Lines, the sweeter the DB's will look. Go Irish!

I see Armando Allen Breaking out this year. He's my pick to eventually be the "go to" back. That kid has a MAD skill set, to go along with an improved offensive line and a sense of urgency that i don't think last year's squad played with. Oh and "The Warden", would you please try and find some class and leave JC alone. Apparently you never even went to college, or if you did, obviously didn't get out much. Kid's have a few beers at college!! Get over it! Try and at least add something FOOTBALL RELATED rather than beating down a KID'S reputation. Are you 14 years old or something???

When they win the NC in 2011 or 12 I'm thinking ratings will be a non-issue. It's inevitable good times are ahead for the Irish!! Peeps just have to relax a bit and let their recruting classes develop. Weren't they ranked #2 in the country just a couple of Fall's ago. Good times ahead, Nice to see NBC has figured that out.

I'm a HARDCORE DOOKIES fan and the exhibition i saw that kid put on, sataurday afternoon, blew my mind!! It got tot he point where i became heavily nauseated everytime he touched the ball on O or D, nowing that he was UNSTOPPABLE. Dude is SICK!! Would of looked mighty nice in a DOOKIES uniform.

Nice pick up for the Tiger's, Too bad ryan periloux is giving the QB position a bad rep in Baton Rouge. Dude has to realize you only get a couple of years too make your impact and then the "machine" moves on with you or without you. SMARTEN up for goodness sakes man.

OSU in a third straight NC game???? Very possible, the Bucks are loaded and with Laurenitas and Wells returning a very strong possibility. On the negative side it will be a teribble thing if they lose their third in a row. Lets get USC in there again, they were by far the best team in the country at years end. Pete Carrol runs the best program in the nation, My only question is will it be Mustain or Sanchez running the offense?? My early money is on Sanchez. The OSU-USC game should be epic. Winner will be in the drivers seat for a spot in the BCS NC Game.

well said IrishR#1. I think that Dayne Crist may be bringin some serious competition to the QB position. Love Clausen but i think some 5star level competition may be what he needs. Irish in 09 dude. Thats when its all going down.

Give me a break! Since when do Tight Ends run 40 yard fly or curl routes?? Carlson was the only bright spot in a miserable Irish season. He should be the first TE off the board in April. Dude has awsome size and great hands. Not too mention he runs precise routes. Just becasue he clocked a 4.9 dosent mean Carlson wont be a top 10 TE in the league. Some NFL team is going to get themselves a bargain if he slips to the 3rd or 4th round. Maybe someone should try giving Coach Weis a call and getting the inside scoop. Running a mediocre 40 on astro turf in the RCA Hole i mean Dome should not be an indicator of future performance. Cmon people, just have a look at him on film against top D1 competiton!! This guy can play, Bottom line.

Pryor should go to Michigan or Oregon. Lets be real people, those offenses will utilize Pryors "MAD" athleticisim and amazing speed. Don't get me wrong, i would love to see Pryor go to Happy Valley, but im not so sure that offense suits his skill set. So ill go out on a whim and say that there is know way he is going to Ohio St. No matter how many basketball games he attends. GO BLUE.

Are u kidding me?????? No way Weis abandons the irish from one bad season. They have the top recruiting class in the country coming in 08 and the past two classes were top 5. This is a down year for the irish but there will be alot of irish green a smilin come 08 and especially 09!!! Whoever throws these rumours out there should realize that Weis isnt a Quitter!!!! This guy is a genius and he will lead Notre Dame back to the Promised land!!!!!! Go Irish.

Jimmy Clausen is the answer, they are in rebuliding mode this season anyway, why not get him a year under his belt even if he isnt experienced yet??? Think about O8, ND will have a few of weis' recruiting classes familiar with the OFF and DEf Systems and will have a sophmore in clausen who has a full year under his belt!!! Clausen all the way here gang, would be silly for him not to start.
