Posted Friday October 16, 2009, About: Damon's last season with Yankees?
i disagree because any time you can snag a consistent left handed hitter, you gotta take em. he just had his best season as a yankee statistically and with the short porch in right field, he still has the ability to pop 20 home runs and 30 doubles

suck it up chalmers. your not the gm. your a player. you do your best on and off the court. let the organization make the personnel decisions and keep your mouth shut
Posted Thursday October 15, 2009, About: Is Mets owner calling personnel moves?
bottom line here...

mets are the jv team of new york. they will forever be overshadowed by the classier and more powerful yankees

Posted Wednesday October 07, 2009, About: Tigers victim of blown call?
Not only did they not get this call, but how about the strikeout call on polanco with runners on first and third nobody out against joe nathan. that pitch was six inches inside against a batter who rarely strikes out.

the big picture is how detroit sports continue to catch no breaks. examples include red wings losing niklas kronwall on a completely clean hit against the blackhawks, evgeni malkin not getting suspended for game 3 at pittsburgh after the rules clearly stated he should be suspended, not to mention all the blown calls in game 6 at pittsburgh.

pistons fans should chime in too with the terrible refs for 2006 cleveland series, 2008 boston series, 2005 miami series.

simply put, **** off

Posted Thursday April 16, 2009, About: White: Liddell will retire if he loses
he needs to retire if he loses because his game is based solely on two things.

1) the ability to not to be taken down, which was absent in his last couple fights

and

2) his ability to trade punches with anybody, which was clearly absent in the evans fight

chuck was great at one point, and basically put UFC on the map, but his time has come

hell of a run tho
Posted Thursday April 16, 2009, About: Sources: Paulus may play QB for Michigan
my first and only love will always be the University of Michigan, but I will always leave a place in my heart for the Cameron Crazies. If Paulus is fit to carry the offense for a team that, sigh, had half their offensive plays go for no or negative yards, then all the power to him.

but, i just don't want to sit through another season like i had to last year, which was very painful for me.

one and done is not worth it.

i say keep rebuilding and recruiting
Posted Thursday April 16, 2009, About: What Kidd wants to stay with Mavs
Jason Kidd deserves a two to three year contract. Any player who can still get triple doubles as his age while leading a team full of individual players deserves something more than a slap on the back.

go JKidd
Posted Thursday April 16, 2009, About: Carpenter hurt swinging bat
this is too bad for a guy who at one time was regarded as one of the top two or three pitchers in the game.

in his first three seasons with the cardinals:

51-18 3.10 ERA 549 K's
and a Cy Young

his next three seasons

1-2 (6 starts) 2.30 ERA 19 K's

unless a miracle happens, or he moves to the bullpen (see: Kerry Wood), then its a sad story that Carpenter will have wasted his best years, and maybe all his years, due to injuries
Posted Saturday January 10, 2009, About: Portis still complaining about role
this is just another boy from "the U", also known as miami university in florida, aka, criminal school...ray lewis wanted for murder, michael irvin all doped up, sean taylor was shot after being involved in crimes, clinton portis bein a baby about bs, edgerrin james complains about everything just cuz he cant be good without the colts o line, warren sapp never stopped running his mouth, jeremy shockey cried till he was traded, kellen winslow with the motorcycle accident against team rules and spittin in players faces

its true the university puts out talent, but its not worth all the whining the players do from there

and just to make portis look worse, here is his first half from his second half

187 carries, 944 yards, 5.0 ypc, 7 tds

155 carries, 543 yards, 3.5 ypc, 2 tds

he need look no further than his own decline in production as one of the key reasons the redskins did an about face the second half
Posted Tuesday January 06, 2009, About: Scouts: Tebow an NFL star--or a bust
let me just say that brett favre rarely threw in high school, i mean rarely, but southern miss took a chance on him and look what happened. if the guy nearly wins two heismans, and two national championships, he has to have something in him. he is also a superior competitor. however, i do not see him being anything more than a type of player such as seneca wallace maybe. he can be an asset to an nfl team and i believe that with his competitive spirit, he will accept whatever role they give him, which will not be qb.
Posted Tuesday January 06, 2009, About: Scouts: Tebow an NFL star--or a bust
tebow is a fantastic college player. however, the nfl requires a special nucleus from its players, which in many cases is called the "it" factor. for example, the draft rarely ever gets it right because the it factor is not something scouts can really decipher. however, a team will take a chance on him because, (a) he deserves it, (b) what have you got to lose?, and (c) his appearance could trigger an increase in fan support.
