I agree. How can Brett be responsible for what Avery says to the press? If Avery cut a fart during an interview would that be Brett's fault too? Brett knew he had to make sacrifices just to compete with the Sharks and Wings. The whole team stinks as of right now (so do my beloved Pens though), and they were stinking while he was with them.

I've done a few things in my life that were stupid and I had no remorse for doing them, but that doesn't necessarily mean I haven't taken responsibility for it. And even if Brett said sorry you haters would just bash him even more.

Is it me, or does that pic of Karl Malone make his "soul patch" a litte off-centered towards the left side (right side, from our view) of his lip? Regardless, unless he's physically capable of playing 82+ games this season (that's hilarious) I really can't see him helping their defense. His defensive abilities were overlooked because there were so many players who did it better than him. Just stay home Karl. Use the power of the soul patch to help them win a title from your couch. The utter sight of your patch could throw opposing offenses off, which could result in cheating allegations and banishment from all NBA venues. Good day...

I had been watching Red Wings' playoff games as well as my Pens, and I thought this would be evenly matched, but from a non-biased standpoint i'll have to say the Wings clearly spanked some *** last night. Osgood was just a little too good, and his supporting cast did pretty well. I believe the Pens will do much better in game two, and whether they win it or not they'll prove this one's more than likely going all the way to seven.

But thankfully I'm not yawning between whistles anymore (due to the presence of REAL competition), just while watching Versus during intermission

TimThomas, I love how you're talking about Crosby whining when I'm looking at both of your latest comments, and to me it seems like you're whining quite a bit yourself. I don't blame you. If the Pens sucked as bad as the Bruins then I might whine a little myself. Good luck getting Hossa this offseason. Boston is definitely going to need him.

Being a Pens fan, I'm excited to see Hossa and Crosby on the same line together. Now c'mon, has ANYBODY in the league made other players better than Crosby has??? Duhhh, no! Well, Malkin is a close second, but still, since he's on the same team that really doesn't matter. I honestly believe the Pens will make it to Conference, but that's really all they need to do to prove this was a trade for experience. Hopefully he plans on sticking around for awhile, but if he doesn't he'll at least make a huge impact for a little while. Take that to the bank and cash it!
