The arrogance of UT is astonishing. UT made their bed when they decided that they were the only important team in the Big 10. Now they are playing in a second-rate conference and aTm is lining up with the big boys.

Rougarou or bust.
Posted Thursday March 08, 2012, About: Howard staying put, thanks to owner?
I hope he does it. It's time for one of the owners to put a star player up against the new CBA and see if he blinks.

They should never put two former quarterbacks in the same booth. Jaws and Gruden turned Monday Night Football into a a 4 hour Festival to Fellate Quarterbacks.
Posted Monday August 15, 2011, About: Stern talks openly of contraction
The Hornets really aren't that bad of a market. The reason why the NBA took over was because George Shinn was a moron running the organization on personal debt while his kids all got right off of their executive positions with the team. The Shinn family was basically milking the Hornets dry. This is the reason why the team wouldn't sell on its own. Shinn was wanting to be paid the full value of the team AND strap the new owner with a full debt burden that Shinn had created. Stern stepped in to keep the team from being sold at a price minus this debt load. Had that happened, the house of cards would have fallen. Basically, the Hornets were about to be foreclosed if the NBA didn't step in. With a new CBA, though, the franchise will probably sell quickly. Who in their right mind would buy into the league right before a new CBA is negotiated? Even idiot owners aren't that stupid. Gary Chouest certainly isn't.

First game of the season. He was probably a little amped up and tense. Gripping the ball too hard causes losses of both velocity and accuracy. No need to panic after one start.

Yeah, but Lebron was rolling in endorsements in Cleveland. The big market argument doesn't work anymore. (Clippers, Knicks, Nets, Rockets) vs. (Hornets, Thunder, Spurs, Magic)

This. I also laugh at all of the morons who were convinced CP3 would be a Knick this season, "because he wants to win championships." Bwahaha

I really doubt that. He has more money and the best record in the NBA as it stands.
Posted Wednesday October 13, 2010, About: Paul may still leave Hornets
The problem is that this article, like 99% from New York Daily News, is basically pure fabrication. Chouest is still purchasing the team. At the Hornets last preseason game, not a single one of the Shinns was there, but Chouest was present.

And do you really think the Knicks will offer double what the Hornets offer? That's stupid. He'll get the max from whoever barring injury, and the Hornets have Bird rights.
Posted Wednesday September 08, 2010, About: Amundson headed to Hornets?
I doubt the Hornets are well below .500 this year. They're only going to get back the best PG in the league who was injured almost all of last season. As for which teams go after him, it has to do with needs and cap room. Those three just had the right combination of the two to pursue him.

As for the people saying that this will make Chris Paul leave, that's just silly. This would be a depth signing if it happens.

I love how you Knicks fans always have some savior in waiting that never actually happens. Lebron's going to the KNICKS!!!!
Posted Wednesday September 08, 2010, About: Amundson headed to Hornets?
He played for an expansion team. I personally wish we had TC still, but that argument is kind of silly. You could argue that he doesn't match up with true centers, but the playoff argument is silly.

Did a Knicks fan really just talk crap about the Hornets' moves? Seriously, you're a Knicks fan. You should know better.

Carmelo wants to play in New York, at least. Maybe you should go ahead and start rooting for the Nets.

So, I played baseball up until high school when I, you guessed it, tore up my shoulder. Anyway, I got a chance to play on a great team when I was 12. We dominated. However, our coach refused to travel because he didn't agree with that whole notion. I have so much respect for him now. We would play most tournaments within an hour or two. Now, we would start off dominating the tourneys. It was not odd to 10-run the all-star teams from other leagues. However, Coach Meche refused to let a pitcher throw twice in the tourney. So we'd get to game 5 or so and just run out of pitching. It was hard when you'd lose to the tourney winner in elimination rounds by 2 after beating them by 12 in round-robin, but we all knew why.

Most coaches are not like that, though. They find glory in the feats of children, just like the parents. I think it should be a rule for those tourneys that pitchers can only throw 7 innings total. And the travelling teams should be very limited in how many tourneys they can play in.
