he made his share of bad free agent signings but that doesn't really matter when you are the red sox and have a payroll of 150 million plus. What does matter is trades and player development and small signings.
Theo brought Ortiz, Bill Mueller, and Millar to Boston and those 3 especially Ortiz were huge in 04. Also for O4 he did the Nomar trade which brought in Orlando Cabrera who was huge that year. He also aqquired Roberts in 04 and without him and the steal there is no world series.

He also drafted Ellsbury, Clay, Pedoria, and Paps all who have been very sucessful All Star PLayers. He also signed Clay, Pedoria, Lester, and youk to very friendly deals and won two championships and made the playoffs almost every year. Enough with the theo bashing
