Funny, the article talks about Toews taking issue with refs, yet they produce no quotes.
Here is what he said:
???I???m not going to go off and complain about some calls that I thought should have been called or whatever,??? Toews said, before essentially doing just that. ???If that???s the way they???re going to play, we need to play the same way. There???s a lot of clutch and grab, a lot of interference, and if [the refs] are going to let that go, that???s something we need to know and maybe do to them a little bit. It???s just tough to understand sometimes why we get roughing penalties and hooking penalties, whatever it is, [and] doesn???t go both ways. It is what it is. If that???s the way it???s going to be, we need to understand that and play more physical and be tougher on them. We???ll know that going into the next one.???
Not sure what imaginary TV some of you are watching. While Torres does glance Stoll???s shoulder at first, Torress shoulder clearly knocks Stoll in the head. The brunt of the impact is to Stoll???s head. This suspension was 100% warranted, regardless of Torres checkered past.
Sure, some good points, he does need to finally be healthy.
But how about showing up to learn the new offense, from the new coaching staff. Learning the playbook, being able to ask questions, learn new terminology, understand what the coaches want and why.
Greinke twice hit Quentin with pitches when they were in the American League. And whatever Greinke said Thursday ???was the final straw,??? Quentin said. ???That could have been avoided as well.???
If the pitcher hadn???t said anything, ???There???s a chance I don???t??? charge the mound, Quentin said. ???Like I said, there is a history there, which is the reason I reacted like I did. Who knows what happens if he doesn???t say anything or if he motions that it wasn???t intentional????
Asked if he expects repercussions, he added: ???You want to look at my history? It???s never happened to me before. You know how many pitches I???ve been hit by? So, I don???t know. You can tell me.???
Quentin is the only player Greinke has hit 3 times.
I hope Greinke hits him again and Carlos messes up the other shoulder.
From the article above, "When Trestman meets the Chicago media, he will be asked almost immediately about his interest in Tebow, "
Fail. Watched the first 6 or 7 media questions, no one mentioned Tebow.
As a Bear fan, I wouldn't mind seeing him as backup. After seeing Kapernick and Russel Wilson run all over people, I wouldn't mind seeing that, in a relief situation.
But on the other hand the thought of Timmy T starting 3 or 4 games is downright scary.
Thomas always said it was because he switched to DH.
Thomas, who spent 16 seasons with the White Sox, retired after the 2008 season with 521 home runs and a .301 career batting average. After playing first base for much of his White Sox career, Thomas transitioned almost exclusively to DH for the final few seasons of his career.
"I explain to people everyday, you're pinch-hitting four times a day," Thomas said. "And you're not really involved with the game if you want to be because you got to stretch, you got to stay loose. There's more chance of an injury. Guys go in there, they get tight in the legs, take off, you hit a ball, and try to run full speed, pop hamstrings, sprain ankles, you do everything. It's a tough position."
Ozzie wasn't a great player, but gave it his all. He didn't miss time for doing something completely stupid, on the field or coming off the field.
The Carlos Quentin comment above was really inane, Quentin was frustrated during an at bat and slapped the bat into his hand, something he had done many times before, and had the misfortune of breaking a bone. He didn???t punch or kick something in the clubhouse, or throw a tantrum. Can???t blame Ozzie for that.
Ozzie has a big mouth and makes stupid comments, but it???s his job to call a player out when they do something that causes them to miss time and hurts the club.
Holy cow, can't believe how wrong some of the people on here can be.
1. Bears aren't paying for past performance, which is smart business. 2. With new WR's, Matt Forte will not be the same % of the Bears offense as in the past.
Chris Johnson contract. $53.5 million is the new money; $30 million is guaranteed. 1047 Rushing and 4 TD, how did that work out for the team.

Sounds like he is working the refs...
Wait, all of the hockey "experts" posting on this message board said Torres didn't hit Stoll in the head...
Damn, I don't think I have ever seen anyone use that word on a message board....

You could say something different.
But you would be wrong.
Not sure if he speaks Canadian, eh.
There is more to hockey than skating really fast, time for Viktor to step it up.
But how about showing up to learn the new offense, from the new coaching staff.

These thing seem very important.
At least to me they do.
And he is missing out on this.
I also find it hard to believe that the Ranger pitchers like pitching to him, last years W. Sox pitchers certainly didn't.

You mean the almighty might make them go 100+ years without a WS Championship?
Nah, that would never happen.

Lovie is not a horrible coach, but he needs a solid OC, which he never had with the Bears.
They had a choice for their sign:
"EVERGREEN PARK HOME OF __________"
They chose Ted Kaczynski over Jenny Mc Carthy.

Only foolish teams overpay for RB's.
No way
