Well, his play improves in the playoffs unless he's playing Toronto or in the Cup Final. Let's not act like Reimer wasn't Rask's equal in the first round last year (he very much was) nor shall we pretend that the Bruins won the Cup (they didn't). Rask is a good, maybe even a great, goalie, but he's far from a sure thing. If you don't think Toronto can give Boston a run this year, you're just a homer.

Which one of his three previous teams (four, if you count the T-Wolves, who drafted him) should Allen have been loyal to?

Oh, typical Boston moron.
Posted Saturday March 09, 2013, About: Survey: Majority of Canadians want hockey fighting ban
Only idiots support fighting in hockey. I love that NHL fans seem to think it's OK, but it is the only sports league when such idiocy is allowed. It serves absolutely no purpose. The day the NHL wakes up and realizes that you don't need fighting in the game is the day it will become a more recognized sport. Until then, it's a niche sport at best. And yes, I am a Canadian.

If you think it is (a) nice and beautiful and (b) ready for NFL football, you're sadly mistaken. The stadium would have the lowest seating capacity BY FAR of any stadium in the NFL. Roger Goodell has already stated that the Dome is no longer an adequate stadium to house a permanent NFL team. Sorry, but the NFL will not be in Canada, Toronto or otherwise, any time soon. There will not be a team in Toronto before there is a team in LA.

If you think the Niners had the ball last, then your pretty stupid. Pretty sure the Giants had the ball last, hence their kicking of a field goal in overtime, moron.
Posted Thursday September 20, 2012, About: Ginn, Jacobs may not have jobs waiting for them
No, Kyle Williams fumbled in overtime which gave the Giants the NFC title. Not taking anything away from them, but one play decided that game (two if you count the other Williams fumble/muff that led to a Giants touchdown). The two teams were very even, but the Giants didn't make plays. But that's OK, because the Niners will get their sixth Lombardi in February.

I'm guessing your reading comprehension skills must be lacking, so I'll dumb it down for you:

"it wasnt but two seasons ago your team was toiling in mediocrity": Before the 49ers won their first Super Bowl in 1981, they were 2-14 in 1979. My point was that just because a team was bad two years prior doesn't mean they can't be a Super Bowl contender.

"they get six free wins courtesy of the weakest nfc division": My point was that the NFC West, AT THIS POINT, is not the worst division in the NFC. They have two 2-0 teams; the only such division in the NFL to have two undefeated teams. They went 4-0 last week and beat some decent teams (Detroit, New England, Dallas and Washington) in doing it.

If you don't understand the point now, then I can't help you. I can't spell it out any simpler than that.
Posted Tuesday September 18, 2012, About: Niners OT -- and Michigan native -- rips Lions
You realize that the NFC West is currently the only division in football with two 2-0 teams, right? It is the same division that went 4-0 this past weekend, with wins over two teams from the media-created best division in football, the NFC East (Dallas, Washington), a playoff team from a year ago (Detroit) and a Super Bowl participant from a year ago (New England, and in their own house, by the way). The days of talking about how terrible the NFC West is looks to be dead, or at least is dead at THIS POINT in the season. So take you jealousy and your envy elsewhere. Also, you realize that two seasons ago, the Lions were 2-14, right? What happened two years ago is irrelevant. The Niners were 2-14 in 1979 and Super Bowl champs in 1981. A lot can change in two years.

Dan Fouts, Jim Kelly and Warren Moon would like to have a word with you.

Also, there are plenty of QBs that HAVE won a Super Bowl that won't get in: Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer, Ken Stabler (who is probablt the most deserving non-HOF QB), Jim Plunkett, any of the three Washington QBs, Jeff Hostetler, Phil Simms and perhaps Kurt Warner.

Chuckleheads? Players voted on this list, not the media.

The Niners are a better team today than they were at the end of last year. Courting Manning cost them nothing. They signed Moss and Manningham to upgrade the only real weak spot on their team from last year. I don't see how going after Manning stopped San Fran from doing anything.
Posted Sunday February 26, 2012, About: Colts can't watch Manning throw before option bonus deadline
I'm so sick of people questioning an athletes loyalty. How about ownership show their loyalty by paying him what they already agreed to pay him. Irsay came out last year and said it wasn't about the money; that he knew Manning wasn't going to play and signed him anyway. Now that the Colts have the No. 1 pick, all of a sudden the money has dried up. Contracts in the NFL aren't worth the paper they are written on, but Irsay signed that deal and now that it no longer works for him, he wants Manning to take a pay cut. Manning has been taking pay cuts FOR YEARS! Irsay is trying to make Manning out to be the bad guy, because if Manning doesn't accept a pay cut, Irsay will come out and say, "We tried, but he wasn't interested." Manning not taking a pay cut doesn't mean he's disloyal.
Posted Tuesday February 21, 2012, About: The NHL's most overrated team
Really, because I live in Hamilton and work in Toronto and no one talks about the Canucks. I hear the same junk about how the Sedins have no heart (which is garbage) and how Luongo sucks (also garbage), but all I hear from non-Leaf fans is how much they hate Toronto. It's like everyone likes their favourite team and then cheer for whoever is playing Toronto. The Leafs will always be the most hated team by fans of opposing teams. The Canucks might be disliked right now (and they are), but it will never get to the extent of what Toronto faces. The Canucks are disliked because they are winning; people hate Toronto and they haven't sniffed playoff success in almost 10 years (the 2002 Eastern Conference Finals). So let me break it to you nice and east, son: the Leafs are and always will be THE MOST HATED team in hockey, period!

Guess I'm in the minority, but I'd love to see TO back in San Fran. I don't care what the myriad Skip Baylesses have to say on here, TO back in Niner colours would be great. Probably won't happen, but I'd like it if it did.

I thought Richards looked like a monkey's anus when he kept going on and on and on and on and on about it for months. And coming from a guy with Richards's reputation, it was laughable that he would go after Subban. Richards should have kept his mouth shut and worried about himself.

Hold on, so these two were injured in a Bowl game played last week. But "it's a good thing" that Notre Dame doesn't play this week? If they were playing this week, that means they didn't play Friday which means they would have been healthy, no? I really don't understand the point of this at all.
