and it is closer home, its not like american guy going to Russia, he is going home. people are forgeting that part and people here want to make him the bad guy or something, because NHL was never everything for him, he knows there is lot more to life...

i agree keep the young guys, plus they will need all the cash they can get to sign Lundqvist to long term(i believe they have him only for one year) since they had to ave no-game Gomez insted of giving the cash to King Henrik and he is not getting any cheaper. if they can get Blake, that could be good but i wouldnt give-up much for him

also before you call the Rangers not playing with team mentality, you might want to watch a Ranger game or two, they lead there division and are in top 3 in the league now i believe and thats without anyone in top ten in points in Nhl. the Gomez deal was non-sence yes, but this is not the Rangers of the late 90s, people get little confused, ohh yea and there D is first in the league and not just because of Henrik(so far the MVP) believe also second in blocked shots, penalty kiling is also at the top of NHL.

them droping the option on Jagr, isnt much of a big deal as they are just hoping they can keep him cheep and he did say, he isnt sure if he wants to go back home after this year, also who cares about his numbers, he has all the stats thru out his career, as long as he is huge (and healthy)in the playoffs, i expect him to turn it on in the second half, its not like he is playng bad hockey and those who watch there games know that well.

Its not Sheva football in England, but he wasnt that bad, he did ok, which wasnt what they expected from him however, i thought Avram would change Chelsea into Sheva football, so the timing suprizes me little....

go to L.A. in 2 years, Posh and Ms.Sheva, i might have to start looking at all the paparazzi pics...

And there isplenty for him to do in Club level, there is 2 top World leagues he didnt win yet, UEFA and CL can never get old, ohhh yea and there is tons of money he will still make, making his salary, by the time he is ready for Natinal team choaching, even higher. and i am sure if he gets a chance to knock off Chelsea out of CL in the near future, it will for sure bring plenty plesure to his ego.

this was a bad, bad signing and total waste of money unless Jagr is gone next year and they will bring someone for Gomez, but thats not going to winn the CUP in NY.

him and Jagr cant work verry well togheter, they both use the same space on the ice and they both like to carry the puck in the zone and look for the guy in the midlle, i like to see Shanny with Jagr and Straka or move Straka in center. and there is nothing wrong with moving the lines around as long as they get it to work by the playoffs. i said Gomez doesnt fit on this team and Drury isnt doing so well so far.

it can all be fixed, who would think that would be the defense in NY that keeps them above watter!

i didnt think he would miss Nylander as much, but lets wait till the playoffs before we fully jugde Jagr... he isnt even playing that bad, just his confidence isnt there, so he passes way too much and doesnt shoot the puck and he has nobody around that reads the game the way he does, Straka is back now and that could help him, if he doesnt pick up his points rest of the year he wil go back home next year

Rangers droping the option on him isnt big deal at all, just playing the numbers and maybe it will motivate him little

i cant believe Jose will take a National team job before going to a big Euro club, i would think, he would get little bored. This guy needs the action and spotlight couple times a week, even he said few weeks back it is a job for retirement....... and also is he really going to coach England before Portugal? To me this is just publicity stunt by Jose, i wouldnt be surprised, if a big club will throw lot of money at him right now in a scare that he could take the England job.

also didnt Gus already extend his deal wit Russia last month, i thought so, not sure now.

People want fights in NHL, then they get a fight and complain about it, so what? Avery talks trash, he gets personal and gets people all wired up, its done in all pro sports, he did have a goal and a assist in that game too. He plays (and talks) with lot of energy, i just dont see what is the big deal and if someone goes after him, well let him deal with it. Marco Materazzi won the WORLD CUP for ITALY, by talking trash to ZIDANE and he sure crossed the personal line there and everyone talks about his headbut, not about what was said to him, they were both wrong...... its just part of it, like it or not, quit crying about it like babies. The VP handled it perfectly...

and there is no problem with what Belak said either
