The league would love to see Kidd go to Los Angeles, so a Celtics-Lakers final series could actually happen. That would draw ratings not seen since #23 was in the finals.

There are only a couple of teams that could afford to sign Vince Carter as a free agent, but don't rule out the possibility of a sign and trade. If he actually told the Nets that he did not want to return, they would rather make a trade than see him sign with a new team and get nothing for him.

The Bulls definitely do have enough to do a deal for Garnett. Chicago could offer a package of Ben Gordon, Malik Allen, and Andres Nocioni & P.J. Brown (sign and trades), plus a future draft choice in exchange for Kevin Garnett.
