Posted Sunday November 22, 2009, About: Rich Rod running short on time?
Yes it was tough to watch but expected after watching how UM has shot itself in the foot so many times this season. Kudos does go out to the UM D for putting in a good effort. They weren't perfect but UM D did keep OSU to 14 points (first TD was a Tate fumble in the endzone).

Also remember that UM's top two RB's were out of action against OSU yesterday.
Posted Sunday November 22, 2009, About: Will Weis agree to Irish exit today?
One thing is for sure. Charlie Weis' time at ND is done. Two big losses to lesser teams at home. A mandate to get to a BCS bowl and at least 9 wins with a VERY easy schedule. Hell, you had Beano Cook and Lou Holtz claiming ND would go to the BCS NC game this year. That's how much they thought of the ND team this year even though they are pole suking ND homers. But here's one thing. Who ever takes over ND football isn't going to have an easy task because the team is going to lose a lot of talent.
Posted Sunday November 22, 2009, About: Rich Rod running short on time?
I find it hilarious that the arm chair pole stroking anti UM posters on here think that Rich is going to get fired after the new AD comes in. Keep smoking that crack because only crack smokers would fire a coach after 2 seasons. As I have typed ad nauseum, the 2011 season will predict the future of RichRod at UM. Sure, next year is important. Getting to a bowl is imperative, even if it's the Toilet Bowl.

A few things. UM's team is the SECOND youngest in the Big 10. Look how many freshmen played along with the few walk ons that played key positions. The idea is that once this team gets more experience and coaching, the better the team will play (fingers crossed). Next season will be crucial to see how much growth this team has made.

Some say that Jim's real desire is to go to the NFL. We'll soon see if that's true.
Posted Sunday November 15, 2009, About: Harbaugh ticks off Carroll
Gariboy,

The problem is you really have on idea what you are talking about. Your first lie is that Les turned Michigan down. While Les would have jumped at the chance to be the HC at UM, UM never offered him and he NEVER was considered for the job at ALL. There are certain things you aren't aware of (which doesn't surprise me) as to why UM never approached him for the job. 2nd, there is no known public rift between Harbaugh and Michigan other than fans who ripped on him about his comments. Fans made a big stink about it and I even conceded that Jim was outta line to make those comments publicly but that's Jim. If Rich has another disastrous year in 2010, then the NEW AD at UM (the old one is stepping down in September of 2010) will have to make a decision as to what to do with RR. I think RR will be given 4 years unless UM goes 3-9 again. Michigan football is going to take longer to rebuild than people have patience for. Either they stick with the team being true fans or the go find another team to root for.
Posted Sunday November 15, 2009, About: Harbaugh ticks off Carroll
Sorry, but I think Carroll had it coming. Harbaugh is a competitor and took Carroll and USC to the shed. But instead of killing them quickly, Stanford roughed them up a bit, dragged them out of the shed making USC think they would be ok but then got dragged back into the shed and got decimated. AS was mentioned above, SC has toyed and ran up the score on others. USC deserved this. And with all the talent the team has, they looked lost out there. It's just amazing what Stanford has done. Let's not forget Stanford beat the FOIE GRAS out of the DUCKS last week. It's too bad that STanford won't be going to the Rose Bowl because I'd love to see them hang 50 on OSU. Harbaugh might be an arrogant SOB of a Michigan Man but he's one hell of a coach. Just look what he's done with Stanford.
Posted Sunday November 15, 2009, About: Michigan QB denies transfer rumors
This is a few days old and was started by morons who read into something that Tate posted on his facebook page (that had nothing to do with him mentioning transferring). The bigger problem is that UM has NO D. My dead grandma could score on them. Just throw her casket a pass up the middle and she'll score. It's going to be a LONG and torturous off season for RR. I have a feeling there will be some coaching changes though Greg Robinson will stay as DC. Next year doesn't look to be any better as UM still won't have much depth and will be playing young inexperienced players at certain positions on the D. A win over OSU would be nice and welcomed but it won't salvage the season. On the bright side, RR isn't Charlie Weis.
Posted Sunday November 15, 2009, About: Next 3 games to decide Weis' future
No longer the last three. Last night's loss, me thinks, was the last nail in the coffin for Charlie Weis. Only thing that is needed is for U Conn to upset the Domers and then have Stanford put up 60 on ND and cream them in Palo Alto.
Posted Thursday November 12, 2009, About: Michigan in hunt for UCLA commitment
Getting a top talent out of Cali to go to cold A2 will be difficult unless that kid already bleeds blue, like Tate Forcier (who knew the program well). Donovan Warren was a steal in 2007. This kid is going to have to really fall in love with the team and coaches on his visit, assuming he does visit, during the OSU game. One thing is for sure, he'll definitely have the best chance of starting early at UM who has one horrible 2ndary with very shallow depth. So shallow you have 2 walk ons starting.
Posted Wednesday November 11, 2009, About: Weis won't discuss job future
What if ND does beat Pitt at Pitt? Me thinks that might just save Weis and give him another year.
Posted Sunday November 08, 2009, About: Notre Dame commitment may enroll early
Rees will have to get use to the fact that Weis might not be around to mold him into an NFL ready QB.
Posted Wednesday November 04, 2009, About: Colorado RB wants to play for UCLA
This is a very interesting move. This kid was THE RB coming out of HS and his move to Colorado was eyebrow raising. He was suppose to light up the field with his talent. So far, he's been a dud. Let's see if a move to UCLA will help but I am going to say, no it won't. My guess there is something between his ears that is causing him not to blossom in college, imho. Too bad he doesn't play QB because UCLA desperately needs a solid QB.
Posted Monday October 19, 2009, About: Recruit drops Stanford for Notre Dame
That's the power of Notre Shame. If you read what the kid said, he was clear that "Notre Dame takes care of it's own." Harbaugh has already lost a handful of verbals this year. This one has probably got to be the worst as this kid was one of the higher profile verbals for Stanford.
Posted Sunday October 18, 2009, About: No Plan B for Pryor's lack of progress
Word is that TP just isn't that coachable of a kid. Talented as he is, I think he's in an offense that just isn't suited for him. But, I am surely glad he decided not to go to Michigan. As well, blame his O Line. They haven't been working all that well as a unit either. TP is still young and could eventually "grow" into being a QB but he surely hasn't progressed all that much from last year.

Posted Sunday October 18, 2009, About: Weis defiant after Irish loss
While I am glad ND (and surprisingly OSU) lost, this was a close game where ND hung with USC for the most part. But let's not forget that ND's D couldn't stop a FRESHMAN QB. Is Weis' job safe? Right now I think it is. As I stated yesterday, it's now how ND does does the rest of the season. Another loss will put his job in jeopardy. Two losses, I'd guess he's gone. But here's the other problem. Does it make sense for ND to go hunting for yet another coach? I would probably stick with Weis for another year assuming Clausen sticks around. But if Clausen leaves, is that a statement about what Clausen thinks about Weis and yet puts another nail in Weis's coaching coffin?
Posted Saturday October 17, 2009, About: Must-win for Weis?
Every game this season has been a must win for Weis. While the team's only hiccup has been Michigan, the other wins have been questionable, especially for many of the higher up alums. The issue? ND should have creamed many of the teams they barely beat. And many of those wins were come from behind wins. That's great for other programs but not ND which was expected to coast this season. As for this game, this is the first game that ND will prove if they really are for real. USC, assuming they come into this game with the emotional edge and motivation to win one for Staffon Johnson, should be a handful for ND. If it's close, I believe Weis will be safe. But if USC blows out ND in South Bend, I think the loss along with the close call wins will not bode well for Weis. The last hurdle, assuming ND does lose, will be ND winning every game after this one and winning their BCS bowl game, assuming they get a BCD bid. If another loss comes and no BCS birth, I think you might see Weis looking for a job in the NFL. This is just my opinion.
Posted Thursday October 15, 2009, About: Rodriguez backs off Michigan GPA boast
TGRFAN, this isn't about putting his foot in his mouth. It seems he was given information that wasn't quite understood and publicly announced it. Big whoopty doo on this non story. What is more interesting is that while RR has stated Tate's shoulder is just bruised, Tate's brother Jason is saying it's an AC joint sprain. And someone should tell RR there is no such word as "irregardless". It's just regardless with no ir.
Posted Thursday October 15, 2009, About: Pryor hears OSU fans' gripes
If you are an OSU player, you surely will hear the criticism from fans because OSU fans know nothing else in their lives other than football. OSU fans, like many football fans, place unreal expectations on kids. TP is a gifted player but it's not yet determined if the kid will ever be a competent QB. Odds are he'll never rise to the occasion like Troy Smith did.
Posted Monday October 12, 2009, About: Quarterback controversy at Michigan?
Iowa did a good job of limiting Tate along with UM's WR who just stood there while Tate scrambled. That's what happens when you are a Freshman. Bringing in Denard was the right move and maybe too late. And if I were RR, I'd be pissed too. UM had 5 Turnovers. You can't win games doing that but yet UM was always in the hunt to beat IOWA and was on a final drive to do so when Denard threw the pick. Not sure if it was an errant throw or that the WR didn't run the route he was suppose to. Regardless, UM beat itself. Not saying IOWA didn't play well, the team did. But, IOWA didn't dominate.
