He was trying to channel Randall Cunningham. You can't blame the guy for trying, it was a gutsy move. Now just because it's gutsy doesn't mean it was smart but he tried to make a play. Had it worked, they would've shown the highlight on every halftime show and sports center rerun for a week. It was nice to see Slaton get some quality touches and 2 TD's. Too bad it resulted in a loss. They'll win a few games soon though.
Posted Sunday October 05, 2008, About: T.O. rips Keyshawn
When diva receivers fight... the public wins. Keyshawn does need to shut up though. You'd think before the season when he was working the draft (before he was cut my Carolina) and had to eat crow he would've learned. I'm sure you all remember him pimping Carolina's pick of the USC receiver (who's name escapes me) and talking about how they were going to dominate and he was looking forward to mentoring him. Yeah owned on national TV.

Newflash! Diva receiver upset with QB! Film at 11!
Posted Wednesday September 24, 2008, About: Bulger unhappy with benching
Bulger got knocked around behind the O-Line... Green is 1 good hit away from needing a sippy cup and a safety seat. They're going to end his career... as soon as the next game. This makes no sense. Your O-Line cannot protect the QB out there now so why put in a guy who's most likely gun shy, hasn't played in almost a year and has a massive medical cloud hanging over his head? Fire Linehan now. With Millen gone... it's time to branch out and clean some house on the other winless teams.
Posted Monday September 15, 2008, About: LJ: Chiefs are phasing me out
Isn't it obvious? They're loading up for another draft already. I guess they figure 2 drafts with high picks is a nice way to start rebuilding. Besides, he's had too many carries in his career already.
Posted Monday September 15, 2008, About: Kiffin still out in Oakland
I guess Al Davis really thinks he can pull something in full view of the public. Everyone knows what the problem is. Having his puppet Ryan run out and give his little speech didn't fool anyone. But I'm sure that didn't stop Ryan and Davis from laughing it up afterwards, sharing a nice toast complete with a "They bought it!" banner. Idiots.
Posted Sunday September 14, 2008, About: Rosenhaus: Boldin would love Miami trade
You act like its impossible to live on a pro football players money. Most of us will never make NFL money if we work until we're 65, and I'll bet you that most of us will put in more work than these NFL "superstars". Boldin's extension for 4 years pays him almost $23 MILLION not counting any type of bonuses or performance guarantee's. Do you realize how stupid you are acting like $23 million isn't enough to live on? Like by some fluke he'll go broke in 2 years if he doesn't get another contract with a $15 million signing bonus? Please. I won't cry for him Argentina.
Posted Sunday September 14, 2008, About: Rosenhaus: Boldin would love Miami trade
I agree. Ryan Grant has a nice partial season and then wants to be paid like LT. It's a common occurance. The only real way out of this is to make NFL contracts like MLB contracts. They do great? You get them for the length of the deal for the set price up front. They suck? You're on the hook for their entire salary unless you can trade them away to a sucker team.
Posted Sunday September 14, 2008, About: Rosenhaus: Boldin would love Miami trade
NFL owners should just stop negotiating with any player represented by Drew Rosenhaus. Maybe that'll lead his clients into getting different agents. Drew Rosenhaus... Scott Boras.... these guys represent everything thats wrong with the sport.

And Boldin is just pissed Fitzgerald is making more than he is. He's still got several years left on his deal, so why worry about getting a new deal before your current deal is even close to being up? Why? Because you want more money. Drew has gotten in your ear with that **** talk you see from your friends girlfriend. "Why aren't you getting that $? You're twice the player Larry is!" Its comical but really pathetic that grown men allow themselves to be manipulated by people who don't get a rats **** about their well being and are only using them to make money off their talent.
Posted Sunday September 14, 2008, About: Team sources: Davis to fire Kiffin
Al can't coach. Al knows dick about the game. Look at his off season contracts they offered players. He gave Javon Walker, a broken down receiver an insane amount of $. MeAngelo received another huge contract. Maybe Hall gets performance bonuses based on the # of stupid personal fouls he gets called for. Thats not even counting the insane money he's spent on linemen who can't play worth a damn.
Posted Sunday September 14, 2008, About: Team sources: Davis to fire Kiffin
No one can win with Davis trying to run things. He gets in the way and obviously has no business even owning a team much less trying to tell a coach how to run one.
Posted Saturday September 13, 2008, About: Young: I was never depressed
He's a horrible overrated QB. He showed his maturity when he whined about losing the Heisman. Not to mention the fact that he's already went on record saying he wanted to quit football without even giving it a chance in the NFL. I guess he expects success to be handed to him with no work required.
Posted Sunday August 31, 2008, About: Simms eyes Cowboys, Packers
""The Cowboys need someone who throws interceptions in pressure situations as much as the Longhorns did when he did it there.""

Yeah because Romo has done so well in pressure situations in the play offs. Winning in the regular season means dick if you cannot win in the post season.
Posted Friday August 22, 2008, About: Ex-players still mad at Upshaw
"I agree...Upshaw could have used more of his pull to try and improve things. However, none of us fight every injustice or try to fix every problem we encounter in our lives...that is not practical. Does that mean when I see someone on the side of the road struggling to change a tire, I am a bad person if I don't stop? I don't think so."

That might be true, however what he's been getting trashed for was almost part of his job. Not like he was required to run around town with a costume on LOOKING for things to do. If you're a mechanic, and a woman with 5 kids stops by your shop with a flat tire but can't afford to pay.. don't you think it'd be nice to try and fix it even though it's not your job? It's not like it's really any different from what you do on a regular basis and the problem is right there in front of you. Yeah you could turn a blind eye and say it's not my job. Hopefully if you did, most people would think less of you for it. It's basically the same situation but he's turning his back on the people who made him what he is. Talk about an ingrate.
Posted Friday August 22, 2008, About: Ex-players still mad at Upshaw
"It is the NFL that is doing the disabled retirees wrong...and laughing all the way to the bank. Did you know that the physicians that are emplyed to do the physicals on the retirees (these are the guys that decide whether or not benefits are warranted) are actually emplyeed by the NFL. If one physician says a player should get benefits, they send it off for a second opinion to another physician on the NFL payroll...it is a corrupt system set up to deny the players their benefits. These same physicians are given bonus's when the league makes more money by not paying out benefits. The NFL is the real crook here...not Upshaw."

You've basically described the US workers comp. system. Lets send you to a crew of Dr's that we pay that will routinely deny benefits. However saying you don't give a damn because it's not your job is close minded and it's why the worlds in the shape it's in. If I see someone getting mugged or rapped, should I not step in because "It's not my job to help out? I work for my boss, not some stranger on the street".

Whatever
Posted Friday August 22, 2008, About: Ex-players still mad at Upshaw
Instead of heaping praise on a man who the last few years was nothing but an arrogant union boss how about you people go out and find someone who truly deserves to be morned. Lots of great people die every day and most are more deserving of your respect that Gene Upshaw. Just because the man was a public figure people seem to confuse that with great human being.

I weep for our future.

Except that the 'shooter' was ID'd by someone not associated with Jones or his crew. The way the article I read was written it was implied that they were ID'd FIRST by the other party and then by Jones.

Just do what every wide receiver does when they want a new deal. Become a locker room cancer, cause as much team drama as possible until they release you.

Posted Friday July 25, 2008, About: Boldin vents frustration with Cardinals
Agents are the problem. As soon as Larry got his raise you know Drew got in his ear: "Oh, why didnt you get a new deal? We should hold out!". The NFL's new CBA should ban players for using Drew Rosenhaus's "services". That man is a total cancer and represents everything wrong with professional sports $ issues. Anyone notice that most of Drew's guys hold out? How many does he have each year that cause scenes? 3-4? He needs to stop making his decent talent think they're top tier talent.
