No, I'm not a Denver fan however anyone who watched Seattle play through the year should've seen a few gimmes. They were gifted a 1st round bye and were gifted their spot in the Superbowl. They beat Denver, but they shouldn't have even been in the game to begin with. Whining? Nope, just an observation, but apparently anything short of "good game" is considered whining, no matter how relevant or valid the statements are.

You mean they didn't somehow find a way to take unheralded low performing college DB's and turn them into elite players? You mean they are getting away with it? Oh wait, this is what Seattle's opponents have been screaming since Pete arrived. A lot of people have been complaining about it lately but the damage has already been done. Thanks to their play, they were gifted a championship and now we have to listen to all the blowhard Seattle band wagon fans talk about how great their team suddenly is.

To be fair in Gabbert, he really didn't have help in Jacksonville. Much better QB's wouldn't have fared any better.

I think the decision was for a 5th year, next year, not this upcoming league year.

As a lifelong 49er fan, I think the team needs to cut him loose. Yeah another team will pick him up but with his pending court docket growing... they can't count on him anyway. What a shame though, he had a lot of talent and could've been a great asset to the team.

100 to 1 he said something along the lines of: "Why are you screening me again? Not like I have a bomb or anything".

History and precedent have shown time and time again TSA employees are idiots too stupid to even become police. They get a little authority and they turn into Rent-a-Cops V2.0.

Yes, we SF fans are getting nervous.

Culliver - Arrested
Kap - Tied up in this mess
Smith - Detained at an Airport for god knows what

SF has never really had problem players on their teams. They've had on the field drama makers like TO but off the field? This stuff is supposed to happen in Oakland or Dallas, not SF. I guess being that close to Oakland is having an impact!

It's funny. They want to be left alone but still get millions per year in hand outs. That situation works well until they government tries to get involved in another abuse case or something of that nature and then it's back to: "No leave us alone...but still send us checks". Either stand on your own 2 feet or don't. The choice is yours but stop crying about it. Indian Reservations are ran by more corrupt and complacent people than what we've currently got in Washington... and that's saying a lot.

Except he's never been a thug. He was raised in a middle class home in the mid west so it's not like he grew up in the hood. I also don't believe he's ever been arrested, questioned or even associated with bad people prior to this incident.

I'm sick of hearing about this.

He certainly cost himself some dollars on this one, even if the most recent report/story I read said he really didn't do anything wrong nor is he accused of anything devious.

If you went to a military doctor I wouldn't even compare it to the surgeons that NFL players get. Military health care is an absolute disgrace. Not trying to be offensive though, just saying that it's sad the huge gap we have for health care for athletes vs military servicemen/women.

It must be tough being Brady these last few years. All of your reliable receivers keep leaving when NE lowballs them.

Couldn't hurt them, a 1st round pick just to rent him for 1 unsuccessful year.

LSU shut down Manziel as well, but you don't see people knocking him for it, and he was healthy. As luck would have it, Peter King put up his #'s this morning:

45-97 (.464), 1 TD, 5 INTs, 500 yards passing.

A sub 50% completion rate, a 1:5 INT ratio and an average of 250 passing yards a game.

He accepted the Pro Bowl invite as a TE didn't he? Wouldn't that have to be their defense? "He's listed as a starting TE on the depth chart, on our roster and even on the Pro Bowl bid that he accepted... he apparently thought he was a TE until it came time to get paid".
Posted Friday February 28, 2014, About: Miami keeping Pouncey, after all?
I think his whole agenda was to either get paid without having to play, or shoot his way out of Miami. If I were the Dolphin's I'd keep him and expect him to play, or offer him the chance to get cut if he agreed to forfeit every dime he thought he had coming to him.
