Garber's law firm happens to have Yankee tickets, so they asked him about those tickets in the present economy. He said, "yeah, it's pretty crazy that the best seats are the emptiest." Then Levine blows up like Garber was talkin smack about his mama or something. He's a ****, it's plain to see.

Anyway, I had heard Alvarez wasn't having the greatest of training camps, and Fielhaber supposedly blew up at his teammates the last scrimmage game (probably already told he was on the bubble and needed to get in gear). Don't think he's getting enough club matches right now to go 90 minutes, which makes him almost useless to Nowak. He can't pick the "best guys," he's gotta go with who's best RIGHT NOW.
FWIW, last year Olimpia's top scorer, Luciano Emilio, moved to DC United. That one worked out pretty well, as he became MLS's top scorer as well.
MLS wants the players for Latin America partially because it pleases the Latin American fan, but also because it's cost effective and provides for a good style of play.

'Umm. . I won't say we offered a contract to Veron...but...ahh.. Veron's certainly the kind of player we'd offer a contract to. . . and if we did offer a contract, we'd uh, probably know by the weekend.'
Doesn't sound like a denial to me!
