1) Better offensive line.

2) Take play calling out of Garrett's hands and get a real offensive coordinator.

That solves most of the problems. People attacking Romo seem to be missing that he had terrible protection. You make more mistakes when under constant pressure. Put any great quarterback in that situation and his interceptions and poor decisions increase. The O line was terrible against the skins, leading Romo to force some passes that he wouldn't have if he had more time.

Don't forget how the season started. After the spleen incident, Witten, started really slow and dropped a ton of passes. You could tell his body wasn't ready after the injury. He worked his way through it and now here he is about to have a 100+ reception season. Quite an impressive show of work ethic. Great player.
Posted Friday December 14, 2012, About: Rangers blindsided by Hamilton call
Hamilton is one of those super fragile guys. If things aren't 100% perfect in his life, he can't focus. Last year was a great example of that, when he kind of dropped off a bit while having some issues at home. This idea that he tanked or didn't try is bogus. His mind was elsewhere, for sure, but it wasn't quitting on his team.

Anyway now, he's going to go to LA. If he thought it was hard in Arlington, boy is he in for a surprise. Good luck to him.

Me too. They could have won another title this year, but opted to try to land someone big based on hope and luck. Cuban blew it.
Posted Thursday June 28, 2012, About: Dunn on record pace for strikeouts
He's got a career OBP of .373. So, really, who cares if he's an under .250 hitter with a ton of strikeouts. He hits homers and gets on base.

Where? There? Oh. Nice English, pal.
Posted Monday June 11, 2012, About: Questions surround Bradley-Pacquiao decision
Right. He should have won all 12 rounds, not just 11. What? Are you high or just plain stupid?

Yes, when there's no knockdowns rounds are 10-9 and close. Thanks for that captain obvious.

I assume you are one of the judges that fixed the fight or a member of Bradley's family.
Posted Tuesday May 15, 2012, About: Odds-on favorite to sign Hamilton
So, your theory is that he went to a new team with a 240 million dollar contract and stopped juicing? What kind of logic is that? See the Arod story. He signed a big deal with Texas and THEN started juicing to live up to that contract, so the story goes.

Pujols is much older than he appears, both in age and in wear and tear. He had his worst year last year. He struggled early and had some injuries.

Last year's issues were partly old age and partly the pressure of wanting a new deal. It's obvious that he puts pressure on himself and gets out of a comfy rhythm. Same thing is happening this year. Old age + pressure = bad slump.

But, like last year, the numbers will be OK by the end of the year, still most likely his worst year, but not as horrible as it is now.

Also, baseball players can drop off fast toward the end. There's a magic age somewhere in the 32-36 range, where it can just disappear.

Anyway, juicing has nothing to do with it.
Posted Wednesday May 09, 2012, About: How high will price rise for Hamilton?
With Hamilton, you don't really want a full season. He's not capable. You want 130-145 games from him. If you get that, you are golden.
Posted Monday April 30, 2012, About: Texas has a Triple Crown threat
Yeah, Matt Kemp. Hamilton will never stay healthy enough. Oh he's good though. He can easily win a batting title and put up 40 HR and 125 RBI in the 135 games he might play.

Put him in the 4th slot and tell him to start hitting home runs!
Posted Friday January 20, 2012, About: End of the line for Pudge?
Well, it's not like he was playing every game or anything. If he could get more playing time, he might get there in a couple of years.
Posted Tuesday January 17, 2012, About: The undoing of the Packers
The onside kick was a panic move. The coach figured his team needed a boost and some momentum. It worked for New Orleans in the Super Bowl a few years back. And, that was just as idiotic. But ultimately, it changed momentum and won them the game.

Now, this panic onside kick didn't quite work.... Oh well!

Maybe it was worth trying though. I certainly got the feeling early on that they were listless and having trouble getting into a groove.

Mayweather is a prick of a human, but he beats Pac easily.

McGwire never won an MVP. Bonds did win 7. 3 clean (should have been 4).
Posted Friday November 18, 2011, About: Phillies could use Bonds on bench
Bonds was one of the greatest players in the history of baseball (even before roids), but that greatness doesn't necessarily translate into being a good coach. With his personality, I find it hard to imagine he'd be able to communicate well with players.

I wonder how Felix feels as he's watching his starting job go away from the sideline? Murray is clearly a beast and clearly a star running back.

The F yeah is fine. The you piece of S is definitely crossing the line.

He got his. So, what does he care?
Posted Monday October 24, 2011, About: Berkman: Albert's better than Babe
He's half right. Pujols outclasses Reggie in every way.

Now, the babe? No way. Babe had a better average, better obp, better slugging percentage, more homers, RBIS, etc. Oh, and BTW was a great pitcher that could have won 300 games if he hadn't switched to hitting.

Pujols is the possibly the greatest right-handed hitter of all time. Let's just say that. :)
