Posted Wednesday January 22, 2014, About: Make-or-break stretch for Cavs
Unlike the NFL and MLB, the NBA is a league where teams rise incrementally. No fast turnarounds. It takes 3 or 4 years for a team to even become respectable. Cavs need to make the playoffs this year and next year be above .500 otherwise this rebuilding has been a massive failure and Chris Grant must go. It's imperative that these young guys get a taste of playoff basketball even if it means getting their heads handed to them in the first round.

I guess Rocky Colavito and Larry Doby weren't available.
Posted Sunday October 14, 2012, About: Nationals don't second guess shutting down Stephen Strasburg
Instead of sitting him out at the end of the year to limit his innings, why not just let him sit out April and May so he's available at the end of the year? They're a good enough team they could have weathered that for the first two months of the season and then their ace available for the playoffs. This was handled badly by Nationals management.

Think again. We were without a team from 95-99. There is no doubt in my mind having a bad team is better than no team. Live in a city that's had it, then lost it, then got it back again and you'll understand what I'm saying. People live and die with their teams. Unfortunately us Browns fans have done alot of dying....LOL..

Shouldn't be an excuse. The Browns played 4 game in 18 days. That's not a whole lot different.
Posted Tuesday September 11, 2012, About: Weeden on the path to shell-shocked
He was rusty. He hasn't played a single snap since college. He'll be fine. They probably worked him too much for a guy that missed all of training camp, but all indications are they he came out of the game healthy. When he gains 100 yards I wonder if this schmuck will still be writing for T&R.
Posted Tuesday September 11, 2012, About: Weeden on the path to shell-shocked
This guys assessment is pure stupidity. Sounds like he's one of 3 drunken Browns fans sitting at Buffalo Wild Wings watching the game painting doom and gloom. As a matter of fact it sounds like one of my buddies submitted this article.....LOL...
Posted Tuesday September 11, 2012, About: Weeden on the path to shell-shocked
Colt McCoy was something like 6-24 as a starter. He had his chance and didn't deliver. He doesn't have the physical tools to be a starting NFL QB. I see him as a decent career backup. Weeden might no pan out, but don't make sound like McCoy is the answer because he's not. He'll never be a starting QB for another NFL team unless he has to come off the bench to start a game. He's a good kid, a tough kid and a good solider. He's just not starting NFL caliber. He's proved it time and time again.
Posted Tuesday September 11, 2012, About: Weeden on the path to shell-shocked
Weeden was horrible as was the offensive line, Joe Thomas included. The bright spot was the defense. 5 turnovers against Vick. They did give up a game winning 91 yard drive at the end but it was no wonder. Eagles had the ball for 35 minutes because of the ineptitude of the Browns offense and the defense looked totally gassed at the end. Alot of progress has been made on the defensive side of the ball by adding athletic players who can run. Same can't be said on the offensive side of the ball. It's only one week, but things better improve quickly or we have impending disaster.
Posted Thursday August 16, 2012, About: Bynum's history should concern Sixers
Exactly right. Most NBA teams don't play legitimate Centers, they play an undersized PF at Center. Run the offense through him and if he's healthy he's easily a 20/12 guy. If he's matured as a human being at all the numbers could be better.

It's simple, they take on Humphries salary for one year only. It doesn't hurt them much because they're 21 million under the cap. Theyr'e looking for first round draft picks or young players with upside. Brooks fits the mold.
Posted Thursday May 17, 2012, About: Why the Heat are in trouble
Without Bosh in the lineup, Lebron has the same problem he had in Cleveland. Not enough players to win it, Especially with Wade having shooting woes's. Beyond the big 3, the rest of that team is filled with the same kind of players Lebron had in Cleveland. One could argue they are worse.
Posted Saturday April 14, 2012, About: Browns targeting Weeden, not Tannehill?
It's a fallacy that the Brown's line was horrible. Aaron Rogers was sacked and hit more than Colt was. By the end of the season to two young guards were pretty respectable. Now RT, that's another story. Pashos was downright awful. Now I'm not saying that the line was great because it wasn't, but all offensive line rating standards it was middle of the pack. That doesn't mean they shouldn't improve it though. A good sleeper pick would be a kid named Brandon Brooks out of Miami OH. 6-5 345. He graded out really high at the Combines. Not sure where he falls in the draft order though. He has good agility and strength and they said his football skills were excellent.
Posted Monday April 09, 2012, About: Cavs might chase Pacers big man
I think if you can get Andy out of the starting lineup and not playing Center on a reqular basis you may be able to extend his career. I'd definitely take a chance and keep him. I don't see anybody giving you anything better than a low first round pick for him anyway. If I'm the Cavs I'd target the Robinson kid from Kansas. He's big, has a back to the basket game and a decent mid-range game that translates to the NBA.
Posted Monday April 09, 2012, About: Cavs might chase Pacers big man
This team needs a ton of players. First and foremost somebody who can score the basketball. Secondly they need another good big to put in the rotation with Andy and Thompson and send Andy to the bench where he can be the change of pace energy guy. He's great at that. I'd bring back Jamison, but only at my price and if he would be willing to come back for that. If not then you just tell Twan, thank you for your hard work and service and move on without him. I'd take Hibbert if I didn't have to overpay. He's a legitimate NBA center. This way Andy only has to play backup center and backup PF. Not start at center and get the tar beat out of him every night. You can Keep Gordon. JGB is on the money with him. I wouldn't touch him with an 11 ft pole.

This post is priceless. You lived in Akron and you say Medina smells? LOL....
Posted Thursday March 29, 2012, About: Browns eyeing Tannehill
It's a fallacy that their offensive line was horrible. Colt McCoy got hit less and sacked less than Aaron Rogers. While their offensive line wasn't great, it was middle of the pack overall. One website I saw had them ranked as the 10th most efficient pass blocking line, so go figure. While the line certainly needs an upgrade especially at RT, the problem seemed to be more McCoy and the receivers than the line.

Ryan Hollins is right up there with the worst Cavs players ever. Jay Guidenger, Milos Babic, Kelvin Branson, Christian Eyenga.....Long time Cavs fans will recognize those creme de la creme of stiffs...LOL....
Posted Friday March 23, 2012, About: Celtics lined up for Hollins
Wow, this guy is horrible. He leads the league in hitting the bottom of the rim. One night he played 27 minutes and had 0 rebounds. The guys is freaking 7ft. You'd think he'd at least get 2 or 3 by accident.

I certainly hope so.
Posted Thursday March 01, 2012, About: Irving enough to save the franchise?
And there's something wrong with being the 4th and 5th best players on the Heat? If you guys had those two you would definitely win a championship. Varejao alone makes you guys tons better. And Irving is certainly an upgrade over Chalmers.
