Although I do feel Bynum isn't living up to what he is being paid, he is being paid on potential. Still, at $12.5 million, he's a bargain compared to Jermaine at $23 million and Larry Hughes at $13.7 million. Let's also remember, Marbury was making $20.8 million and only behind Jason kid in terms of PG's salaries.

I've got no problem with curves, I'm actually into them. I'm a fan of her sister Kim, J-Lo, Salma Hayek, but this girl is just not attractive. He's probably marrying her because it's the first date that actually wanted to go to the buffet and not a snobby joint, and she was able to hang with him at the dessert buffet. Go back to writing your raves and rants about the problems in society and let us keep it simple.

Isn't it ironic someone is arguing that American Soldiers be honored while calling all Americans dumb as rocks? Isn't also ironic someone that calls themself a USMC that served America, they also called Americans dumb as rocks and insinuated we're all fat and lazy. My father served 3 tours in Vietnam in the Corp, and he would never, ever call Americans dumb as rocks. I don't know too many people that would enter the military and risk their lives for a bunch of fat, lazy, dumb as rocks people and their country. What's up with the bitterness? I'll tell you what, Walter Payton would never talk like that about the people of Chicago and this great country for that matter. That's why you are so against the statue there, because you're just not a good person and wouldn't understand.

I respectfully disagree with "It is a memorial to those who have served in our armed forces. That's it." That is part of it, but not completely. It is a football stadium and a tribute to our armed forces. There are many memorials that are not sports arenas that were built with the specific purpose of honoring someone and nothing else. This was a football stadium built for the purpose of housing athletic competitions and as a memorial to our armed forces. Neither is independent of the other. Honoring the stadium's greatest athlete is not a slight at those that the stadium was named for and dedicated to, but in addition to honoring our armed forces, it would be honoring one of the stadium's, the city's, and the league's greatest players and greatest individuals.

You're a ****. It's called Soldier Field, but it's football stadium. They're not suggesting a Walter Payton statue be placed at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier or the Vietnam Memorial. They are suggesting that a tribute to one of the greatest football players ever, and an even better person, be placed at the football stadium he played in. Is Air Jordan's statue only outside the United Center because Air and Airlines are similar? I hear they want to take down Magic Johnson's and Wayne Gretzky's statues at the Staples Center because they never held office jobs. Hey @hole eagle fan, if you don't like us dumb as rock Americans, don't comment about our game - NFL football. Although Michael Jordan was my favorite player ever, Walter Payton is my favorite sports person ever, and a statue of him should be placed there even to simply make a child ask his parent who Walter Payton was. That conversation would have nothing but a positive impact on that child. Long Live Sweetness #34.

"Shaping shots" is not "playing around". If you saw that par 5, you have no choice but to hit a sweeping hook or draw to keep it out of the crowd because you couldn't even see the green from that part of the fairway. Tiger is great because he can hit so many shots like the power fade, the sweeping hook, the stinger. Most players can only consistantly hit a draw or a fade which make some holes difficult for them when their normal shot shape is opposite of what the hole calls for.

You're right, he is the best ever. He's not quite as fun to watch when he's not hitting the ball well, because he does pout a bit, but I do worse every weekend so I'm not one to judge. I do wish he made himself more available to fans and was more cordial with them in public. I know from personal experience and that of friends that he goes wayyyy out of his way to stay away from fans and gives instructions to places he stays that no one is allowed to utter a single word to him even if passing him in the hallway. He's larger than life to all of us, but he shouldn't go through life acting as though us commonfolk are beneath him. That being said, I love him on the course, just wish I could say the same off of it.

Based on his 600 calorie a day diet, I would say those are just hunger pains and cramping, not a rib injury.
Posted Friday September 04, 2009, About: More players copying Tiger's pre-round routine
Tiger makes me and millions want to watch tournaments. He is the most entertaining player to watch as well as the best player in the world. Prize money has tripled on the tour because of him, and the tour would not be what it is today much the same as the NBA would have never become what it is if there was never a Michael Jordan. I do applaud Tiger for his donations and learning centers, but with that being said, it's always easy for the rich to make donations, it's something they have to do for tax write-offs in order to keep more money. All professional athletes can give money, but the true givers are the ones that give their time. Time to the fans to sign autographs, time to the media, time to make you feel like you're a human being just like them. I'm not in Tiger's shoes, so I can't pretend to understand how taxing it probably is to have everyone wanting a piece of your time, but stopping for 5 minutes to sign some autographs and saying good morning to hotel staff may be nothing to him, but it's something that person will remember for a lifetime. I know people that allowed Tiger to stay at their house during the PGA championship at Oak Hill. They weren't allowed to meet him and left a couple of things on the table for him to sign, which he did not. They simply asked for 5 minutes of his time to shake his hand and have a photo taken, and his agent said it's not part of the deal. Sure, they were paid a couple grand for him renting it for the week, but again, it's easy to throw money around, but they would have given it all back to 5 minutes and a picture. I love watching him, I admire him, but when I think of things like this it saddens me.
Posted Wednesday September 02, 2009, About: Tiger blames missed putts on greens
I think it's unfair to say Tiger is on his way down since he's won 20 out of the last 42 tourneys he's played in, but it's also unfair to say he's not a cry baby. No one pouts more and shuts everyone out when things don't go his way. He makes $110 million dollars a year because we pay to watch him and buy products he endorses. I think all professional athletes owe it to the public to always grant the interview. If his emotions get the best of him, fine, it happens to all of us, but don't run to the car after your round like you did the first 3 days. I can speak from personal experience that the lengths this guy goes to are unbelievable. I waited for him on #18 during a practice round when the PGA championship was here at Oak Hill, and instead of walking by the fans and signing some autographs, they had the other players stop hitting balls on the range so Tiger and Stevie could walk across the driving range and back to the clubhouse where no one would come in contact with him. I turn on the news that night and they talked about how Tiger always has time for the fans, BS. He was here just before the Barclay's playing in Begay's tourney and the people working at Turning Stone where it was were all told they were not allowed to speak to him if they came in contact with him. He's more fun to watch than anyone when things are good, but he's forgotten why he makes all that bank.

So we'll find no comments from you regarding a professional athlete you can't beat at their game? We're offering opinions, and Tiger did not putt to his standards for the last two tournaments, and to blame them on anything but himself is Sergio-like.
Posted Wednesday September 02, 2009, About: Tiger blames missed putts on greens
He said the key words "that you misread putts that badly". Tiger had problems reading putts at the PGA also. He sounds more like Sergio than Tiger. Blame everyone and everything but the man in the mirror. If you hit a good putt, than it would've gone in.

Big Camilo, all 160 pounds of him. You only see muscles because he's amiciated. Big misconception amongst the masses on this guy because he shops at kids 'r us for his clothes. And by the way, he's only 53rd in driving distance and 131st in accuracy on the tour. The chiseled physiques of Garrigus, Cabrera, Hoffman, Duval, and Perry all agree you need to hit the weights to hit the ball. Can you be considered chiseled when you have 8 inch biceps and 10 inch thighs? Sure, Tiger might be chiseled out of granite, but Camilo is chiseled out of pea gravel. Tiger's record has nothing to do with his workouts and everything to do with his sac and clutch putting (until lately). If he made just 2-3 more putts over the course of the last two tournaments, he would have 2 more wins.

It's not a wise business decision to give a $60 million contract to someone that's one elbow away from blindness.
Posted Thursday August 27, 2009, About: Stoudemire talks of leaving Suns
Ya, and I've heard Kobe will be traded to NY for Curry because the Lakers want cap relief, the Bulls will trade Rose to NY for Duhon because they miss his locker room presence, and Dwight Howard is threatening to sit out unless the Magic trade him to the Knicks for Larry Hughes because the Stan Van Gundy likes Hughes' tear drop tattoos because Stan is always crying. Knicks fans, don't you know D'antoni will make the team exciting with high scoring games, but will never be a very good team because he won't coach defense? Florida International has a better chance of winning the Coaches vs Cancer tourney opening up against UNC with coach Isiah Thompson than you have of winning a ring with D'antoni.
Posted Thursday August 27, 2009, About: Stoudemire talks of leaving Suns
Exactly, starting off with "let's be realistic" and saying Lebron will sign with NY and Amare will sign IF they can get rid of Curry's contract. There is no IF, they can't get rid of Curry's contract. Discussion on that ends there.
Posted Wednesday August 26, 2009, About: Stoudemire talks of leaving Suns
They can't afford him under the cap unless Jefferson opts out after this season, but that is unlikely because he is due to make $15.2 million in 2010/11. Also Manu is a free agent after this season, with Parker free the season after. If they want to keep these guys, they most certainly can't afford Amare. Besides, Amare's and Tim's games are different. Tim is slow and methodical. He spots up or shot turn-arounds and jump hooks. Amare is much closer to a bigger, stronger James Worthy. He can blow by you if he squares you up, and if he posts you up, he's looking to spin off of you to the rack. Amare could teach Duncan how to shoot a free throw. Amare is one the few post players that shoots in the 80's from the line and in the mid 50's from the floor.

Don't forget about my Bulls. All we've heard over the last 3 years is that they're a low post scorer away from taking the next step.
Posted Wednesday August 26, 2009, About: Stoudemire talks of leaving Suns
The Suns won't make any other big payroll commitments until the owner has the cash. This is the first year that you don't hear about the Suns being players in the free agent market. They used to be mentioned with every free agent because playing for the team and living in Arizona were selling points.
