As a LONG time Cub fan, I can deal with the losing IF there is a major league effort on the field. This is something that I have not observed for several years. If this is what is bothering the manager then some of the "veteran" players need to heed his call. When I watch a major league game I want to see a major league product. I can attend a minor league game and see a more consistent effort and usually fewer "mistakes" than these athletes.

Zombrano for a pitching prospect, cash, and a centerfielder. Barrett for relief help. The Cubs have good arms (not necessarily great). They may not turn it around this season but use the players to improve for next season. Look for a free agent catcher during the off season.

I would like to see a World Cup for golf similar to the world cup of Soccer, hosted by countries from around the world. Rather than annually this could be every two or four years.
