Yeah, O-line is by far our most pressing need. But receiver is also a big need. Especially when our guys don't know how to fight for the ****ing ball. I hold no hopes that any of these guys will be a legitimate #1 receiver, but stranger things have happened.
Let's see: Horrendous GM, a just as bad HC, an OC who is living off past glory, an O-line that is perhaps the worst in NFL history, and NO #1 WR. What QB on this planet, living or otherwise, could possibly overcome those circumstances?
It's only a two year deal. Put the pitchforks away. I'm disappointed that Ryno didn't get the job, but Quade only got a short term deal, that has an option for 2013.
Now, I am disappointed that Jumbo is still here, though. I don't see us doing anything until we get competent management, and Hendry just doesn't pass muster. Same thing goes for Angelo with the Bears.
Apparently the people who are dissing Jay never bothered to listen to the interview that the PFT article linked to. If you had, then you'd see that you people are completely misconstruing this. I'll just repost what I posted in the comments section of the ESPN article:
He wasn't throwing anybody under the bus. In fact, the only reason he talked about interceptions is because THEY brought it up. He said nothing about it beforehand, and they were merely asking him about it. They weren't saying, "Zomg, youse going to suck this year!" as certain fanbases have been saying (and a few people from some of those fanbases have already posted here, in this very conversation.) They asked him about it, and he said that these things happen. Mistakes occur, and that you don't want to be the one who makes an error. He wasn't singling anyone out, nor was he saying that he, and everyone else, will be perfect.
He did, however, say that there will be times where things won't go the way people want them to go. I appreciate his honesty. I would much rather hear him say that there will be times where we stumble, rather than saying that everything will be just great, and that there's nothing to worry about at all.
PS, if you had bothered to listen to the interview, you would've heard them having a few laughs together. He was teasing them about not coming up to see practice last week, and they said a storm occurred. He teased them about not using their tent, and they jokingly replied that it wasn't insured incase of damage. Listen to the interview. It's quite funny near the end.
What kind of crap is this? He's "distancing himself from the front office?" He means what he says . "That's up to the Bulls" means that he does not make personnel decisions, and he accepts this. He's more focused on becoming the franchise player.

Overall, we are a good group, but still need an SG. We can perhaps make the Second Round of the playoffs right now, but I don't think we'd go further.
