As far as the Bears being passed up by the Packers and Vikings...I really don't think the Vikings have officially done that yet. I'm betting the Bears will be second in the division to the Packers.

Warner starting this last preseason game means that Leinart is probably going to be the regular season starter.
I agree with your sentiment though. Warner should be starting now so Leinart can learn. I can understand a guy wanting to start, but if I were Leinart, I'd play it cool right now. Learn from a good veteran and when you have everything digested, become the team leader. So many potentially good QBs start right away and just get too rattled, which ultimately messes up their heads because fans turn against them.
One thing I don't get is that he is a "sure-fire hall of famer"...just because he has the touchdown record and ONE superbowl win? You throw enough, of course you are going to get the record after 17+ years. The more telling statistic is his interception counts. I think he is a hall of famer, but not first ballot.
Simply put, anyone who signs a deal for that long should fire their agent. All the Bears need is another Urlacher situation with Hester in the next 3 to 4 years.
Alexander = agree with Big Bad Bears Backer, he's not an upgrade from Benson anymore.
Henry = Seriously??? He'd be worse to have around then Tank or Benson. BAD IDEA!
I'd try to work out a deal with the Raiders for one of their guys.
don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya on your way out, you worthless chump
Again, you're talking about Hester dropping "a sure 6" (which I did see...thanks for asking). How many easy ones did TO drop? You should know this because, unless you live under a rock, which wouldn't surprise me if you did, TO dropped tons of EASY balls. It was all over the espn. Yes, espn, that channel actual football fanatics endlessly watch. I tell you, I wasn't so sure about making Hester a WR, but I think that if used right, he could really open that offense. We'll see.
Oh and...."gerbil"? What kind of name calling is that? How old are you, 6?
Nonetheless, the owners are making unbelievable money as well. Both sides are wrong here. so...what do you do? I guess I wish Urlacher would look at the bigger picture. Allow the organization to use their ridiculous payroll to bring in more talent around him so they can get back to the Super Bowl.
Or if they aren't going to do that, let's give the fans a break and lower ticket prices a little.
1. Aren't the studs in the NFL skipping the voluntary workouts more these days? It will probably be better for Urlacher's health. He'll be more fresh for the whole season this way. I have no doubt he'll be back, no sitting out...
2. I wish fans as a whole could strike all of the major sports. It's us who are fitting the bill to pay all of these jerks, while dealing with a crappy economy. I'd love for these players and owners to see what it's like to live on a meager salary, having to watch how much they spend and drive or whatever else.
Would that necessitate the elimination of inter-conference play? Or should they do it like baseball and have a week or two where they play rival match ups from the opposite conference? Just a thought...
Once again, if the Bears would have just stuck with the run more, they could have been in this game even more so. Until the Seahawks went up by 10, they were still in the game and could have just pounded the ball (even with Benson).
