Billy Wagner, Jose Valverde, or even John Smoltz as the Cardinals closer, just not the setup/steroid guy Ryan Franklin. The Cardinals bullpen needs a lotta work also, but the closer pos. is in dire need, he has no out-pitch.

Posted Thursday April 30, 2009, About: Red Sox shut down Smoltz
I find it funny how everyone was talking about how deep the Rays pitching staff is after last yr., but the R-Sox pitching staff this yr is even deeper & the farm system is just loaded it's just amazing what the future looks like. Buchholz, Masterson, Bowden, among many others. The R-Sox bullpen is better than the Rays bullpen as well. I wish the Rays luck, so that they keep the Yanks out of the playoffs.
Posted Thursday April 30, 2009, About: Red Sox shut down Smoltz
Smoltz was being counted on for the 2nd half of the season & as long as their aren't any terrible setbacks w/him he will get it all straightened out & be a good 5th starter for the R-Sox & he probably will win a playoff game or 2. Hope all the health for Smoltz so that he can get 1 more ring in his career. Also hope that Penny gets things straightened out as well. Don't know much about Baldelli, but he has a good story & hope that he can get things back so he can be a platoon player.

Imagine the AFC-West w/o LT & Larry Johnson in KC. They wouldn't have any good RB's except the 3 in Oakland & that is when they are healthy.

If Tebow is a bust in the NFL it wouldn't be any different than Michael Vick, Vince Young, JaMarcus Russell, Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush...etc... The only thing different about Tebow is it seems that he is intrinsically motivated & will succeed @ whatever is asked of him by his coaches. Of course he wouldn't run as much as in the SEC, but I just see a Steve Young/Mark Brunell type QB who could be a very versatile team-leader & he would be valuable to any team. He could be a QB/WR/TE/HB....etc

Posted Friday December 12, 2008, About: T.O.: I'm not jealous of Witten
1st Off: TO looks like a Muslimic terrorist in the picture or a Somalian pirate trying to shoot a oil tanker or jump aboard a cruise liner. ha.

When an athlete tells you what something isn't about it always means that is what it is really about!! When an athlete tells you it's not about the money, it's about his family. Go w/it's about the money. TO wouldn't be telling you what it isn't about he is really telling you what it is about & it is he is jealous of Witten & Romo. I just wonder if TO just gets bored w/his job & when things are going good they have to create drama & when things are going bad they try to deflect attention from themselves if their team doesn't win by blaming someone else. TO has had more targets over the yrs than Witten & still yet Witten has more catches. TO catches about 55.36% of balls thrown his way from 06-08 & during the same time Witten has caught 70.3% of the balls thrown his way TO needs to worry about his hands & less about doing situps in his drive-way & bashing the QB/TE relationship. Ok "TO you have a man-crush" let it go. If the Cowboys self-destruct let it go you shouldn't & don't need to cry about Tony Romo he is a backup QB @ best all though he is paid as a top-QB (Romo & TO suck in big games & Witten is clutch usually whenever the ball is thrown his way.)
If anything TO is jealous of Romo, just as he was jealous of Jeff Garcia(w/his playmate wife), Donovan McNabb (after TO came back from inj. & Philly still loved McNabb more than him, & now he is jealous of Romo (his relationship w/Jessica Simpson & or Jason Witten. If TO is jealous of Witten it is b/c his hands are like "glue" & his are like "butter" if TO didn't worry about his "Touchdown dance," while he made the catch & then what downfield move he was going to make then maybe he would catch the ball more as well. Again TO "shut yo mouth," your grandma said so!! Romo can't get the ball to you if you are double covered, his line doesn't protect for him & when Marion the Barbarian is hurt. The Cowboys have to: "run the ball to set up the pass not pass to set up the run." And, the Cowboys D has to create a few turnovers like INT's, QB Strip Sacks, FF's...etc...

Posted Thursday December 04, 2008, About: Carson: Giants should bring Plaxico back
The Giants should try & trade Plaxico to the dungeon in Oakland or to Dallas I'm sure the Cowboys would give up a 1st rd Draft Pick for him as they did Roy Williams from the Lions.
Posted Thursday December 04, 2008, About: Family strain affected McNabb's play
All I seem to ever hear from Donovan is excuses, excuses, excuses... Maybe TO was correct that some of the problems were with Donovan himself like he puts too much pressure on himself. He has marginal receivers now & forever outside of when TO was there, but other excuses were that b/c he was "black" he was being vilified in Philly, he can't stay healthy (who's fault is that?), now it's Donovan's family that has problems, then it was Donovan didn't know the rules, what next for Donovan the dog ate his "playbook or was that Andy Reid!" Donovan needs a fresh start: maybe w/the Bears, Vikings,....etc.. Andy Reid & Donovan need new addresses!!

Ok so what if the Eagles were to trade McNabb oh to say the Bears what would they get a 1st rd 2009 pick say a 3rd rd pick in 2009 & a 2nd rd pick in 2010??
Posted Saturday November 15, 2008, About: Shaq: Phil started Kobe feud
Shaq needs to quit "mis-remembering stuff," he had played out his welcome in LA. To the Lakers it was pretty clear either Kobe or Shaq & they went w/youth. Shaq you are a "has been!!" And for you to say that you don't have a problem w/Kobe that's a bunch of "crap." Don't you remember that you got pissed @ Kobe for bringing up your name in his rape/sexual abuse case b/c he was trying to say that all athletes pay women for sex or have relationships on the side (that was bush-league though!! Granted that was after you were in Miami, but don't you remember. You couldn't stand the Lakers being called Kobe's team. Now, you have won 1 championship or we can just say D Wade got that one for ya since. The Lakers have moved on w/youth & replaced you Shaq & that's w/Andrew Bynum. Shaq you are "merely a pimple on Barry Bonds' back" to the Lakers @ this stage of your career!! Sorry, Shaq "no pimple intended!!"
Posted Saturday November 15, 2008, About: Vick plans on NFL return
Barack Obama's Liberal Agenda for the NFL & all of America open up all the prisons & allow everyone to vote & play football.
Who's next for the NFL? Kimbo Slice, Brock Lesnar (returns??), Mike Tyson, Marcus Vick & Michael Vick, & Rae Carruth, Lawrence Phillips, Maurice Clarett (get parolled), Justin Gatlin (susp. from track), Usain Bolt (just b/c he is so fast & could be good on trick plays & as a decoy). Bring back Andre Rison, Bam Morris, Tamarick Vanover, Nate Newton, Erick Williams, Travis Henry, Odell Thurman, David Boston, Ed Johnson, Willie Andrews. There's more??
Posted Saturday November 15, 2008, About: Vince Young's attitude in question
This brings back the Wonderlic Score of VY scoring a 6 & then someone putting a one in front of that # how convenient. Option Qb's don't make it in the pros. I don't believe that Tebow is an option QB b/c he could stay in the pocket more, but he gives the Florida offense more explosion. But, in the NFL if your QB doesn't think pass, pass, pass, throw it away, get down, & then finally run they won't last long in the pros. VY should be a WR @ best he is just another bust in that yr's draft right beside Reggie Bush is VY. I knew LenDale White was gonna be the better RB than Bush even though it took a yr or 2. This also shows the ineptness of the Titans for not picking the Vanderbilt guy in Jay Cutler & going with the "next big thing" in VY he wasn't going to be the next McNair unless he could tutor him up, but the Titans needed a playmaker right away. Go Kerry Collins keep VY where he should be & that's on the bench. VY is a lot like Akili Smith, & JaMarcus Russell great athletes, but not great NFL QB's. VY is also a lot like Michael Vick in being so much of an athlete, but not a signal caller b/c he thinks about running before passing. It's like having a point guard who looks to score more than pass. The player will be exciting, but to improve his whole team it just won't ever happen. McNabb's career was going down-hill, but then he realized that if he was going to stay healthy & stay in the NFL he had to become more of a pocket passer & he has & has become a great QB despite few playmaking WR's.
Posted Wednesday November 05, 2008, About: Spurrier takes jab at Fulmer
Steve Spurrier won't leave S. Carolina, b/c he wants his son to take his job when he decides to retire. Steve Spurrier @ TEN would be great for the SEC it would bring a great school in TEN back to the forefront w/Georgia, Florida, LSU, & Alabama (who are now the elite of the SEC).
Posted Wednesday November 05, 2008, About: Arizona AD won't let Withey transfer
Also, if he really wants to play @ another Univ. maybe even a Univ. of Ariz. rival like say UCLA, Oregon, USC etc.. he can, but he will have to pay for his education himself, since they won't release him from his scholarship. My question is does the player have to pay for 1 yr @ his next college or would he have to pay for all the yrs at the next school?(like normal college students).
Posted Monday November 03, 2008, About: USC's Carroll finds humor in BCS
Yeah the BCS is funny, but Pete Carroll calling it funny is like Hank Steinbrenner calling the Yankees better than the Dodgers & if they played in the AL-East they wouldn't be any good. It's called spoiled grapes. Also, down goes the Yankees, & Dallas Cowboys!!
