This is the right decision as far as money, however if it is true he would have signed for less out of the gate then Hendry has made a serious mistake. Wood is finally healthy and had a very good season last year and you can never have enough quality relief pitching. I hope he is still available down the road and can be signed to a deal that makes sense.

Hmmm...this might be one of the stupidest comments I have ever seen...no to lead the league in interceptions you need to throw more interceptions than anyone else..period...passing yards have nothing to do with it. Cutler is a joke who will never lead Denver to anything other than misery

I thought not only could you not jump 7-5 conference teams from the big east, but also anyone else who is 7-5? This prevented several major conference teams in the last two years from getting bowl bids....

This is pathetic...70% of the time both teams do get a possession, great except 30% of the time they don't and THAT is THE point. It should be 100% of the time each team gets a possession, why would you want a system that punishes teams by resorting to flipping a coin to decide a game? All of these stats are nice and I am sure make the NFL feel warm and cozy, but in reality they just do not want to admit that college football has a better idea than they do. Games are played to be won and lost, the fact only 3.8% of games end in a tie is irrelevant, it means that 3.8% of the time you screwed fans and players by playing an irrelevant game. This is a simple rule to change and implement..stop being stuffy ignorant idiots and make the change and end ties permanently forever.

C'mon Soto is a rookie and had a decent year, but MVP over Pujols?? I hate the Cardinals, but I would never vote for that...he is a great hitter, although lack of roids has begun to slow him a bit, but he is still arguably the best hitter in the game right now

simple search technology of the rules book, you type in a query and it spits back results based on it, you can find the rule you are looking for in seconds, read it and get the call right...I am not talking about lame internet searches either like google, yahoo and others, there are real companies out there that specialize in this stuff and do it for billions of records, to parse the nfl rule book would take almost no time at all....

This is really insane, fire Wade now, yes he is a nice guy, but he is not going to turn this thing around. They need to see if Garrett can really be a head coach and if not, they need to go after Cowher or someone else of his caliber. This team has been in a sorry defensive state since the Parcells years. They have NEVER had a good secondary, sice the Super Bowl years and every person they draft or sign has done almost 0 to help that out.

The only thing the cubs would get is a better clutch hitter...everything else is about equal to Soriano...at least Manny would not want to lead off...Cubs need to get a leader and a true lead off hitter, Manny does not fit either of those two areas...it is intriguing on some levels, but highly suspect on others...my guess is the Cubs will get Peavy or C.C. instead and look for a leadoff hitter, possibly Brian Roberts again.

New York, California and ND punks....no one in Iowa gives a rat's *** about what you think of Iowa. We will just keep enjoying the best education, lowest crime rates and best cost of living in the US...I don't know about you but it sure is nice looking out my back window at my nice large yard, smelling smog free air and seeing the beautiful night sky, in my nice 2500 sq ft house, all for 190K, wonder what you got in that craphole NY and Cali area for that...250 sq ft studio...awesome....
