Posted Monday November 09, 2009, About: Hall tussles with Falcons coaches
The commentators don't feel sorry for us, they're laughing at us right now. The Skins have become just as big of a laughing stock as Oakland, if not more, because of how fast the team has plummeted.
Posted Friday November 06, 2009, About: DeAngelo Hall disses Falcons GM
DeAngelo needs to keep his mouth shut, at least Atlanta has a real GM that knows how to build a football team, instead of the joke that is known as Vinny Cerrato. Cerrato has had almost a decade and he hasn't done anything with that. The 2 times the Skins made the playoffs, '05 & '07, was because of what Gibbs did, not Cerrato.
Posted Wednesday October 21, 2009, About: Campbell not told he's starting
You two who are calling for Brennan are aware that he is on IR right? I would agree at this point play Brennan if he was healthy, but he's not an option at this point. If the team really wanted to give their team a chance to win and rebuild at the same time then go out and sign Jeff Garcia for this year and next year (assuming Holmgren or Gruden will be the coach next year and keep the WCO) that way the Skins can use the first 3 draft picks on offensive lineman.

The Skins need a QB who is mobile and knows the WCO, and Garcia knows both of those things. I know Garcia is 39, 2 years older than Collins, but he's much more mobile and knows the WCO much better than Collins or Campbell. Drafting a QB in the 1st round next year would be a waste because that kid will get destroyed playing behind this makeshift joke of an o-line.
Posted Tuesday October 13, 2009, About: Redskins CB: Losing starts with ownership
It is terrible, when those 2 wins come against teams that are a combined 0-10; and when the Skins only beat the Rams by 2 points, when their average loss is by 28 points. Then only beat the Bucs by 3 points, and their average loss is by 14 points. Then the team losses to Detroit and Carolina, and they are 2-7 with their only wins coming against the Skins. What killed the Skins last season was losing to St. Louis, Cincinnati, and San Fran (supposed inferior opponents), and the Skins are doing the same this year, except these teams aren't inferior anymore, the Skins are now down on their level.
Posted Tuesday October 13, 2009, About: Redskins CB: Losing starts with ownership
That's what happens when our "football genius" Cerrato ignores the fact that the o-line is deteriorating right before his eyes and continues with his best player available in the draft and free agency and drafts a TE with the 2nd pick in last year's draft when they have an all pro TE in Cooley. The Skins have selected 2 o-lineman in the draft before the 6th or 7th round this decade: 2000-3rd overall pick Samuels, who is on the downside of his career, and 2008-3rd round pick Rinehart who was deactivated this past Sunday for Mike Williams who hadn't played a meaningful game in over 3 years. As long as Cerrato is still around this organization will continue to be one of the biggest jokes of the league, along with the Raiders, Chiefs, Bucs, and Cowboys.

There I fixed it for you.
Posted Thursday September 24, 2009, About: Cowboys No. 1 receiver frustrated
I'll take an ugly 2 point win over a high scoring 2 point loss any day of the week.

I can't wait for Sunday and when the Skins win and prove how much these mediots who called for Detroit to win wrong.
Posted Wednesday August 26, 2009, About: Runyan unlikely to return to Eagles
If Heyer struggles at all early this season, or becomes injured again, Snyder and Cerrato better have him in the next day and slotted in as the starting RT. He doesn't miss games, and he knows the NFC East better than any other FA tackle available.
Posted Tuesday August 11, 2009, About: Hall: No more 'MeAngelo'
Yeah, you all enjoy Shawn "Glass Man" Springs. He will miss at least 4-6 games this season, and have trouble practicing most of the season.
Posted Monday August 03, 2009, About: McNair's death affected Mason's absence
This better be a joke, because Favre played this game with the Packers for 4 years, and the game got worse every year, and now he played it up to a new level this year with Minnesota. Favre did it for attention, and nothing more. Mason had one of his best friends murdered, and who knows what was going on in his mind, and he decided he wasn't ready to hang it up yet. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Mason doesn't flip flop for the next 3 years like Favre did, and create a giant media following.
Posted Wednesday July 29, 2009, About: Redskins QB responds to Snyder's criticism
From what Haynesworth said a couple of weeks ago the Bucs offered him more money, but he turned it down to play on a more competitive team. However, if the Bucs had signed him to a $100+ million contract then the media would be gushing about what a great move the Bucs made. Since the Skins signed him, he's just another overpaid free agent that the Skins have wasted too much money on.
Posted Wednesday July 29, 2009, About: Redskins QB responds to Snyder's criticism
That is true; however, if Campbell doesn't perform well this season then I think the Skins will allow him to leave without any compensation in return. I believe at that point Snyder will want to cut his losses and let Campbell walk, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Snyder draft his favorite QB in the first round of next year's draft.
Posted Wednesday July 29, 2009, About: Redskins QB responds to Snyder's criticism
I have no problem with the big signing of Haynesworth, and the main reason is it's a step up from what Snyder has been doing from years. In Haynesworth, Snyder got a dominant DT who is the prime of his career. Snyder usually signs guys who are in their mid 30's with nothing left in the tank, and he's only signing a name at that point. If Snyder is going to spend money, I want to see him spend it on guys who are either coming into their prime or players who are currently in their prime, not players who are 2-4 years past their prime.
Posted Tuesday July 28, 2009, About: Agent: Vick apology coming soon
I can name 15 QBs who are better than Vick. Vick was never a top 10 QB earlier in his career. He was one of the most, if not the most athletic football player, in the NFL; however, to say he was a top notch QB in the league then you're lying to yourself. Vick wasn't even a good QB by NFL standards, he was an average QB, who was a phenomenal athlete that made up for his inaccuracy and touch as a QB.

Also, I have heard that Zorn isn't looking to implement the Wild Cat Formation this season. Zorn is more concerned with getting the players comfortable with his WCO, and implementing more plays from his system. The Skins could have easily done the Wild Cat last season with ARE, but Zorn wasn't interested, and from what I've heard he's not interested in implementing it this season either.

I'm not a Vick fan, and I'd hate to see the Skins sign him, because of the circus that would surround Redskins park, and I believe he'd be more of a distraction and would do more harm than he would good for the Skins.
Posted Tuesday July 28, 2009, About: Agent: Vick apology coming soon
Do you really believe he could be a back up QB this season for the Skins? Because I know he can't handle the job this year. Vick would not be able to handle Zorn's WCO and wouldn't last anytime in it because he would have to be accurate and getting the ball out quickly, two things Vick couldn't do in his prime, much less 2 years away from the game. I would rather stick with Collins and Brennan, who are actually QBs that are accurate and don't look for any excuse to run instead of pass the ball.
Posted Sunday July 26, 2009, About: Redskins best fit for Vick?
This is nothing more than another horrible BS story by T&R. Vick would be a horrible fit for the Skins, especially this season. Vick was a below average QB in his prime, and he had trouble with accuracy and timing and those are two crucial aspects a QB has to have in playing in the West Coast Offense under Zorn. Vick couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, and he looked to run any chance he could instead of passing. Vick to the Skins will not be happening, and like Loki said Vick will be suspended and probably more than 4 games. I would not be surprised to see him miss half a season, if not a full season, and it will be deserving for Vick.
Posted Thursday July 23, 2009, About: Cardinals-Boldin talks weeks away
Yeah, he resigned and he still has 2 years left on that deal. So the Cards hold all the power in this battle. He's good, but he's not Fitzgerald good at $10 million a year, I'd say Boldin's worth $7-8 million a year.
Posted Wednesday July 22, 2009, About: Source: Vick tempted by UFL offer
Stallworth has been suspended indefinitely and there is no timetable for when he will be allowed back into the league, so I don't know how you can say that he will get a shorter suspension from Goodell than what Vick will get.
Posted Wednesday July 22, 2009, About: Source: Vick tempted by UFL offer
What Stallworth did was horrible and incredibly; however, it was nowhere near heinous. Stallworth did not go out that night with the intention of killing another human on his way home. He made a horrible mistake that cost someone his life; but, he was not fully at fault, and this was proven with the DA giving him a plea deal because there were eye witnesses who said they saw the guy run out into traffic to catch a bus.

Now what Vick did was heinous. He woke up morning after morning with the dog's blood on his hands, and went out and hung and beat more dogs until death if they did not perform up to his standards in a fight. I would say what Vick did was by far much more heinous than what Stallworth did.
Posted Wednesday July 22, 2009, About: Source: Vick tempted by UFL offer
I don't know how many times people have to say this though, Stallworth made a horrible one time mistake. Also, the guy who he killed was also in the wrong for illegally jaywalking. Stallworth also stayed at the scene of the crime and took full responsibility for his actions and cooperated fully with police, unlike Vick where he lied to the police, lied to Goddell, and he acted like he was untouchable and did nothing wrong until he had no choice to come clean. If Vick had owned up like a man to his crimes right away, I'm willing to believe he would have gotten a lighter sentence than what he got. He got 23 months for being an arrogant ass and acting as if he was above the law.

What Vick did was not a one time mistake; he committed a felony over and over and over and over again for 6 years. What Vick did was no accident, without him that dog fighting ring would have never reached the level it did. Also, for Vick to plead not guilty about betting on the dog fights and to state he never placed a bet on any of the fights is a complete joke. It's like Clemens saying he never used steroids, and had no idea his wife was using steroids as well.
Posted Saturday July 18, 2009, About: Williams has lost nearly 100 pounds
I think the main reason Blache and the team are looking at trying Orakpo at SAM LB is because he may be the best player we have at that position. If Orakpo proves he can cover TE's and can handle the position, then I see Blache creating ways of allowing Orakpo to still rush the passer from the LB position. Also, Orakpo will still put his hand in the ground at a DE position, most likely LDE, a good amount of time this upcoming season.

The only reason I can think of that the Skins don't want to start Orakpo off at LDE is because they don't want to have the same problem they had last year with Carter and Taylor, 2 pass rushers coming off the edge, and teams just running the ball past Taylor on 1st and 2nd down. I think they want to use Daniels and Wynn, and even possibly Jarmon or rushing downs at LDE to stop the run and then allow Orakpo to go after the QB on passing downs.

As for signing Runyan as a stop gap for a year, I'd rather pass. I know Runyan hasn't missed a game in years; however, he's 35, and coming off microfracture surgery on his right knee. I at his age it's going to be difficult to play at the same level he's played at for years after this latest surgery. The Skins would rather go with Williams, who if he works out, will be more than just a 1 year stop gap; because, he's only 29 years old and could easily play for another 5 years at a high level.

When it comes to the #2 WR position, I don't think I'm asking too much out of either Thomas or Kelly. All they need to do is be that tall, outside threat for Campbell who can catch 50 to 60 balls, for around 800-900 yards with 5 to 6 TD's. Plus both guys, and Davis could be extremely helpful in the red zone by giving Campbell 3 more big bodies to throw the ball to, so teams can't double Cooley constantly.
