I don't think Clemons can get kicked much lower. What a career down the toilet. Gaston is a good guy and is pretty quiet overall. He must really dislike Clemons to publicly say what he said. For the record, I think Clemons is a turd.

I would mind if Pettitte signed a 2 year deal in Toronto or a 1 + 1 deal. They could use a veteran lefty in the rotation now that Marcum is out for the year and AJ is gone. If it doesn't work out they are going to blow the team up in a couple years anyway and try to rebuild. Might as well trade Halliday, Wells and Rios while they still have some value. They also need to get rid of the monster nose GM they have.

I'm sure the Jays would still trade Alex Rios for Lincecum like last year. I think Lincecum's value has gone up considerably from a year ago when the trade was in the works.

Didn't McCourt offer the contract to Jones? Unless he wrote some provision into the deal, he has only himself to blame. Sure, Jones isn't worth that kind of cash but he should have seen it coming with the season Jones had in Atlanta before coming to LA.
