If the NCAA had a playoff system, NO Big Ten school would make it to the Championship game.......
JFKJR is ready to PARTY!! | 06/17/08, 02:48 PM
I didn't say it was for the championship game, maybe you didn't read it correctly. The whole point was Michigan proved a sub-par big ten team last year could beat the defending national champs, one of the best teams in the SEC, and the team that had the Heisman trophy winner.
Everyone didn't think Michigan had a chance but they still won.
Who would have thought Appalachian St. would beat Michigan at the beginning of the year?
Get over yourself
That's why Michigan destroyed Florida in their bowl game last year... right?
Isn't OSU notorious for being a bunch of hicks and red necks? They take pride in it and everyone knows it. Every school including Michigan has those types of fans.
And as far as bandwagon fans, every school has them, even OSU.
Quit acting like your school's fan base is completely different from everyone else's.
i guess you'd be used to losing... being from pennsylvania and all.
what is it? eleven years straight that michigan has beat penn state.
i lose track of these things
As a Michigan fan I'd really just like to have some closure with the issue and see the football program move on. However, It really would not surprise me if Les Miles ends up going to Michigan. Do I think he really will? Absolutely not but looking at the entire situation it would be easy to see Les Miles ending up at Michigan. People have second feelings about decisions they make and may have regrets. It's called human nature. Les Miles could very easily have been caught up in the moment of winning an SEC championship and going to the National Championship thus signing a contract with LSU. In the long run, however, I think it wouldn't be that hard to believe that Les Miles is second guessing his decision about not returning to his alma mater.
Like I said, I don't see it happening but It wouldn't be that hard to believe if it does.
All of this reminds me of Urban Meyer before he went to Florida from Utah. Notre Dame wasn't willing to pay him the big bucks and Florida came in and gave it to him even though Notre Dame was one of the schools in Urban's contract to go to (Just like Michi was with Miles). Urban took the Florida job and ND ended up shelling out the big bucks for the pathetic coach they now have instead of getting Urban who is still the hottest coach in college football.
If Michi was really the dream job for Miles he'd be here right now. Just shows you that money came into the picture and that was more important to Miles.
End of story
look for Michi to get a pathetic coach in the mean time and further ruin their chances down the lines.
