I saw that guy on lockup. On a short trip outside the prison, he held up a fast food place, or convenience store, or something. He was so close to getting parole, now he's off to prison in Utah. Pretty much for good.

But you don't always get lapped because of being slow. Look at the race today! A bunch of REALLY good cars got trapped a lap down on pit road by the caution.

If NASCAR does this, they need to go back to racing back to the caution because it will be nearly impossible to get a lap back.

And what has "racing back" gotten? Only one of the greatest finishes in NASCAR history. The 1979 Daytona 500 ended with a fight (literally) between Donnie Allison and Cale Yarborough. At one point earlier in the race, those two were a combined 5 laps down, but got them all back and ended up crashing fighting for the win. Think that would have happened with the Lucky Dog and double file lead lap restarts? I don't think so.

That's a little conspiracy theory for my tastes, TW. I'd like to give Ray enough credit that he wouldn't do that kind of thing.

I also would like to give Mayfield enough credit that he can sink his ship without help.

That lawsuit worked so well against his previous employers. He'd have a better chance suing his current boss than suing NASCAR successfully.

And yeah, I know he's his own boss.
