You don't have to buy. If your not a Wings fan, don't worry about it. Granted Detoit will have a tougher time this season, but they'll come back around when these young guys mature a bit. The roster was way different in 2002 that is was in 2006. They do a great job of drafting and signing players to fill in the holes. Not a lot of great FA out there, but maybe someone to step in and be solid. If Hudler did more in the playoffs, I'd be more concerned. He was a streaky player anyway, and maybe one of the other yount guys will be more consistant and bring a better work ethic.

Boras is a tool. Obviously the Tigers have really needed him the last few games. Can anyone say Marcus Thames??? I think he's scheduled to be back in the lineup on Tues. No big deal, just Boras overreacting and trying to get some more press for himself. I'm sure he could really care less about Mags, just what money he can bring him.

These are my thoughts exactly. There are too many 'eastern' team already in the Western Conference. I have nothing againts franchises moving back to Canada, though. I think it's a good thing.

Wouldn't break my heart if he didn't re-sign with the Wings. Detroit proves the can draft young talent and bring them up in the system. Some of the best players for them in the playoffs were the young rookie players. Hossa didn't show up for the finals, no doubt about that.

Wow, the Pens fans are really testy these dasy. Can't make it through the first few pages without all of the excused, bickering, and crying. Here are a few facts as I see them.

1-it's been a good series so far. The Wings have not wrapped things up just because they won the first two games. There has been some really good hockey played, so let us enjoy that.

2-Osgood get ripped on all of the time, but he's been the best goalie in these playoffs, and a big reason the Wings are in the finals and up 2-0.

3-The officials. Yes, they have been letting them play. BOTH teams. They have missed calls on both sides. NBC and Pens fans always like to point infractions out, but, hey, your boy Malkin just got a big break. Also, it's not the the Pens havn't been doing their fair share of interference, holding, cross-checking and so on.

4-The 'stars' for niehter team have really stepped up yet. Yes, the Pens need to get Crosby and Malin scoring, but the Wings need Hank, Hossa, and some others to get going.

I'd love to see him back, but only at 100%. The young guys in the Detroit lineup are really sparking them with thier speed and work. The third and fourth line guys are the difference in this series so far.

The Tigers definately need some stability within the pitching department. Unfortunately, Zumaya now sits in the 'I'll believe it when I see it' department. I'm hoping for the best, though. The Tigers can't afford to be giving up runs like they are from time to time. They give up 10 runs one game, then shut the same team out the next.

The WBC has produced some very good baseball, and a lot of baseball fans watch it. I'd watch just about any game this early in the year. It does have some problems, and I hardly know when the games are, or watching the MLB Network wondering if the game I'm watching is live, or from two days ago. It seemed like the U.S. and Venezuela have played each other 10 times over the last few weeks.
Having the major sports leagues in the U.S., we tend to be more concerned with our local teams than the international competition, no matter how big the stage. It's been stated by a lot of fans here that they'd rather see their MLB team win the World Series than the U.S. win the WBC. Same with other sports-a Red Wings fan most likely would rather see them win the Stanley Cup over the U.S. winning Olympic gold. It doesn't mean that we don't have any pride in our country or that we don't love it.
